Reddit raging cause they cannot hate fat people

I am going to ruin this little mascarade party we are all having and explain what is really going on.

Reddit will not intervene in subreddits, even if they disagree with them, HOWEVER, there are still rules to follow.

The issue here is the mods of /fatpeoplehate actually promoted going OUTSIDE their subreddit to harass overweight people. This would be the equivalent if ForumAdmin came in here, and posted in the misc telling us to all go to fat people website and make fun of all of them.

Since they promoted harassment OUTSIDE their community, that is why they were shut down, the mods would not follow the guidelines for being a subreddit.

Now all the backlash is over how Reddit presents itself as an open community where they do not censor, where on the surface, it appears they merely banned the subreddit because they didnt agree with it, but really the mods and users were actively promoting violating the rules of being a subreddit.

It wasn't harassment. There's a difference between what constitutes harassment on reddit versus its real, legal definition. Please note the original reason given, "safe space." Some members from /loseit and /keto were made fun of and complained. Imgur staff pics were uploaded and they complained. There wasn't a campaign to generate content from these other subs as much as from tumblr or other sources.

Reddit thrived because it gave the illusion of a free marketplace to discuss ideas. This banning damages this perception. I respect their absolute right to ban whatever content they want on their website, but I also respect the users' right to criticize and make themselves heard.

This created a lot of ill will between admins and users.

I can't tell you guys how upset I am about /r/fatpeople hate being banned. I wasn't able to sleep last night, I can't concentrate on anything, and when my girl asked me if I wanted to go to this new pizza buffet place for lunch today I slapped the fuk out of her and said, "that's what the fatties WANT US TO DO."

The way I understood it they started posting in other subs calling people whales and hams so they could screenshot it and go back for some internet points. Before pictures were being taken from r/keto and some of the weight loss motivation subs and being used in this.

The big trigger was when imgur decided to block images from r/fatpeoplehate from reaching imgur's front page. FPH then started finding and posting images of overweight staff members of imgur calling them ham planets and such.

Then the subreddits got banned, then chit started erupting.

The problem is that many subs have done the same thing and even worse. Atheism did the exact same thing, and took harrassment to a whole other level, and they just got kicked out of the front page. The problem is the CEO right now. She has ****ed up her life and she wants to take it out on the website. My mind is blowned that they will appoint her as CEO. Her husband and herself are both scumbags. Her husband ran a scheme and stole millions of dollars from people's pension funds. And Ellen had a failed lawsuit(about discrimination, typical feminist), she asked them to pay her the amount of money her husband owes but they refused.

She also decided to have fixed wages for all reddit employees so there won't be any gender discrimination, which is retarded. Anyone can see her motive in this from a mile away, she will just keep all the extra sum that will not be spent on employees. She earns a ridiculous amount of money, some say she earns 7 figures for being a ceo. And the worse part is that she doesn't even know how to use reddit. In one of her first posts, she tried to post a link, but she posted a link of her inbox.

As time goes by there's so many other facts that are coming out that is making her look like a scumbag. Apparently, she also blackmailed the former CEO into giving up his position.

See, and here lies the problem. I understand why the fatpeople hate subsection was closed but now that its gone, the grotesque sections that were typically kept hush are now out in the open for everyone to see (including the media). Hell, i didn't even know there was an r/coontown until this whole fiasco broke loose.

and apparently there was a subsection called r/whalewatching that was shut down....but it really was about people that were whale watching enthusiasts and had nothing to do with fat people.
