Weight Plates - Ontario

Hi,

Looking for some decent olympic weight plates, want to pay ~1/lb or less if possible (looking at used as well). Any recommendations?

I found these on kijiji: York weight plates (full 255lbs set): 2x45, 2x35, 2x25, 2x10, 4x5, 2x2.5 plus a set of lock jaw collars for $200 ($0.70/lb not if the lock jaw is worth $20)

That is a good price for new plates. It is 90 cents a pound for crappy plates here. I like the look of deep dish.

just watch out for shipping prices.
I was going to buy some york legacy plates: six 2.5's and two 10's, and york was going to charge me $70 for drop shipping,
I "shipped my pants" then cancelled my order. $70 for 35lbs, that's crazy

Those are fine enough plates for starting out and on a budget. Can't do better (in Canada) really. I have a set of those (I don't use anymore) and a buddy of mine just bought a full set to go along with his FD Crossbox R4 clone. He's happy with his setup. FWIW he went with a Rogue flat bench and a Rogue bar 2.0. as well.
