Help! Nothing has changed! Weird chest to waist ratio.

So I’ve been going to the gym almost every day since February. I run about 200-250 calories on the treadmill and I sometimes use the elliptical machine. I use machines that train my chest and back muscles every other day and I’ve recently started doing 3 sets of sit-ups with 5 kg weights every day. The only problem is,

I see no difference both physically and mentally since I started going.

I always go with my friend who had a similar body as me. Now he looks really fit and is starting to form a six-pack. The food we eat is pretty much the same and we both follow the same program at the gym.

I feel like I wasted 200 dollars (The price of my gym card) and an hour of my day each time I go to the gym because I look exactly the same as I did a few months ago, before I started going to the gym.

Picture below of me in February and me now.
