    cottage cheese and yogurt

    I've seen alot of people on here that eat cottage cheese and yogurt as a meal. What are you eating these for? By that I mean, they are high in what? Protein, fat, carbs? All of em? Just a curious newbie seeking knowledge... Thnx.

    cottage cheese (nonfat or low-fat)- very little fat, very little carbs, lots of caesin protein (which makes it great to eat before you go to bed)

    i dont see a reason why yogurt would be beneficial over any other food

    I eat fat free, no sugar added yogurt before my workout in the mornings. gives me a boost so the cardio doesnt suck as much

    For my 3 oclock meal on school days I have a mix of 1 cup yogurt(the yogurt I get has 0 fat, 17 carbs, and 12 protein), 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup raw oats, and a scoop protein powder. I stir it all up, freeze it, and by the time 3 rolls around its the perfect consistancy to eat.

    As long as you stick with fat free cottage cheese then it is a very good source of protein as said above. You really need to watch the carbs on the yogurt though. They are usually high in sugar. Plain yogurt tastes the worst but is best for you!
