I'm all for 2nd amendment, but it would be insane to say people have irrational fear of guns. Yes guns are just metal objects but the people holding them could be mentally ill or have very poor gun safety. When you go to airport with open carry AR you know you will be scaring people. Police need to go up and talk to him just to see if the person is crazy or has any ill intentions. It would be insane for police not to talk to the guy.
brb police doesn't stop a person with AR climbing up a tall tree and not questioning him because doesn't want to violate right to open carry.

The whole point of carrying a weapon in plain view is to create an atmosphere of intimidation and respect.
This goes back to medieval times even, people wore swords on their sides to show that they were willing to protect themselves, and fight if it was necessary. Hell, I am sure cavemen carried around their clubs to make other men stay away from their women.
Anyone complaining about him open carrying an AR has a problem with the fundamental reason for open carry.

I've learned on the misc that I'm actually anti-gun, but I own around 100 firearms, including full autos & suppressors, and I carry a concealed handgun a lot of the time. If I see anyone, anywhere, carrying an assault rifle with a 100 round magazine, I'm going to assume they're up to no good. Why the fuk would you burden yourself with carrying all that ammo if you had no intentions of using it? I've never actually seen anyone open carrying a rifle in Texas, but if I did I would get the fuk away from them ASAP.

06-04-2015, 09:03 PM #72Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

Well, as retarded as it is, at least he got nothing to hide. Concealed carry seems to be the bigger problem :

What if a terrorist walked into the airport and started shooting? This guy would be one of the few people there armed to deal with it. He would probably save lives and everyone would call him a hero.
Oh wait, you should be like the docile populace of the UK and not be able to defend yourselves, but it's okay we have the police to defend us. Become so heavily reliant on the government to defend you that you become subservient to them, good idea.

As a person who lives outside of USA i find this completly insane
Can i ask though when you american brahs say it is your duty to protect yourselves and your right to do so.....protect yourself against what exactly? I know there are terrorists etc and sometimes you will have people that want to do bad things and harm others....
But surely if you have a law where any civilians are legally allowed to walk down a street or walk into a crowded place like an airport with a rifle does that not just make everyone more paranoid and increase the risk of something bad happening?
Seems like it would just create an endless cycle of paranoia until one day mothers are open carrying AK's to the park with their children for protection against other civilians who are open carrying weapons etc

I hate guys that are deliberately looking for conflict, the guy was searching for trouble and I think he was upset that they didn't bite.
At no point was he detained, no rights were infringed upon and the police were courteous... so chill the fuk out angry open carry dude, your open carry rights weren't under threat.
