I"ve got the same problem. It just doesn't seem biomechanically feasible for me. I feel like i'm missing some kind of support/leverage that prevents me from falling over. I can squat down flat footed, but my legs have to be splayed out at practically a 180 degree angle.
The only way I can do the asian/3rd world squat is if I have a loaded barbell on my back, and it has to be at least 135 lbs if its any less or even just the bar i'll start falling backwards.
