If you want a thicker shake you could just add less water or milk than you would normally use to get a regular/thinner shake. But if you just want protein powder recommendations, then your best bet is a casein protein like those mentioned above

Casein is good for recipes as it's thicker.

But better than all that is xantham gum, guar gum and glucomannan. You can make things thicker with the latter two and foamy/mousse with the former.

A casein or whey/casein blend will be come out with a thicker like consistency, although a straight whey protein would as well, just need to use less liquid.

If I do sludge, I mix it with unsweetened cashew milk. Makes it thick, creamy, and delicious

ON platinum casein was probably the thickest I have tried, also really good flavoring compared to the normal stuff, vanilla was outstanding. XF and Beverly UMP is very thick too, I have made a pudding with just adding 2-3 ounces of water to a scoop.

I'm sorry Robert, but you get the worst descriptions ever award. "Thick like wallpaper paste" sounds awful. I also vaguely remember you describing some supplement to taste like Dimetap and meaning for it to be a compliment. Does not sound good hah.

Lulz agree but those plant proteins do mix up incredibly thick and need to use an appropriate amount of liquid if you expect to be able to actually drink it. I remember mixing 4 scoops of AI no whey pumpkin pie in a 28 ounce shaker full of water and let it sit for 3-4 min it was so thick it wouldn't pour out the spout, had to remove the lid to drink it and it was slowly getting into my mouth had to shake that **** like someone with a ketchup bottle trying to get the scraps left.. ;p

Dymatize casein - cinnamon bun is great! let it sit for like couple minutes after mixing because it gets thicker.
