after getting back on tmg it seems cardio / heart function is better, any truth to that

Cliffs: could be helping, Creatine might do the same stuff but more reliably. If it works for you, use it. Placebo effect is real and effective, whether the supp you're using is or isn't effective is sorta irrelevant.
