Wrong! Most people I know expected me to get one. I haven't even seen one yet. I don't want to go back to wearing (and charging) a watch and the Apple Watch models I like visually are over $1k. A friend of mine got one and I do want to play with it though.

Personally, I just don't see the point. If you have to carry your iPhone with you in order to use most of its functions, then why do you need the watch?

Yeah, so I'm a techy and I had to have one. Already took 2 important phone calls that I would have missed while my phone was way across the house. Sure it's a new toy but i enjoy new toys. Mostly I don't know how to work it yet. I also enjoyed getting my texts while working with clients when i usually just heard my phone ping over on my desk. It's pretty discrete that way.

That is a sad story. I am not sure which is sadder though - the fact the guy bought an Apple Watch, or the fact that he goes running with hand weights.

Hey they had these in the nineties , I had one , it was called a pager ....lol

debating on whether to get the sport model. Just want to hear from anyone who has gotten it and your opinion of it.

Im not interested in other smart watches, as I know there are others that have preceded the watch.

I remember having one a few years ago for work. I get paged and use my phone to call the page. I go into a fast food restaurant and this young high school looking kid tells me. "oh, pager.... that's old school"
Kids!!

So my wife ended up with the watch. She loves it. I'll see if how much it will make life easier. Technology is good...

I did, on Black Friday last year. Wear all the time. The alerts, messages and phone is pretty cool. Haven't gotten use to calling out Siri on it.
