@OP
Because there is no sense of homogenous collectivism in the USA. No sense of community. Everyone is out for themselves, and that is why the USA will soon fall. It is a monument to individualism and self-destructive liberalism.

OP you didn't address any of nutsy's points. Many (majority) of Americans are Democrat if I'm not mistaken. Many voted Democrat in the 2008 elections and support a Universal health care system which was what many thought the ACA was. Why then would a Democratic controlled House and Senate with a Democratic President not enact a bill that ensured universal health care coverage? OP maybe you should ask why Democratic Politicians are against Universal Healthcare. The majority of Americans supported "Healthcare Reform" so why would you make such an innapropriately titled thread? OP my advice would be to read and learn more about America before making these threads.

They where thinking of UHC but all they got was a law stating they must have insurance. Very ignorant voters indeed.
It's the same on state and the local level. People leave one area because it's a chit hole and then try to change their current area in to the chit hole they left. It's happening in Texas right now. We are getting an influx of people from Liberal states who are leaving for jobs, cost of living etc and are now changing the way things are done here to the same as where they left. Fuk off we're full!Official Supp. Misc Beer Crew

Did anyone hold a gun to your head or steal that money from you on April 15th?
You see? You and I will help the poor kids who need that surgery. Obama is not going to do it. He is too busy golfing, bombing millions of such kids, and sucking the cocks of his Wall Street handlers and his first ladyboy husband Michael Obama. We the people need to take personal responsibility and initiative like you and I have when we donate, and help those kids. Politician scum isn't going to solve these problems for us.
So... socialized healthcare? Absolutely! You and I and other people helping others. Not by government edicts.

Lol, I'm sorry I had a bit of delusion there for a moment that people would observe the situation objectively instead of continuing to play into Red vs Blue / "Divide and Rule" that has been going since post-WWII.
But considering the 3 pages of posts after this are nothing but Red vs Blue, it's more than obvious that the strategy is working quite well.
We're not ants living in a colony, we're intelligent apes. We take care of our own, and barring that, ourselves.
Homogenous collectivism is not encouraged because a homogenous collective is not as easily ruled as a bunch of quarreling masses, scraping for every crumb of cheese that falls from the master's table.
All the while we want to point to the two intangible gods that we worship - Red and Blue, as if they actually exist.
Have you ever considered for a moment that both the Republican Party and Democratic Party do not actually exist? That it's a collection of intangible ideas and concepts dragged under these immense overreaching titles? Have you considered that the parties are not exact opposites, and that which benefits one party does not necessary exist mutually exclusive to the other party?
Moreover, the larger both collectives have become, do you understand that their scope has (by necessity) widened to encompass concepts, ideas, and elements that likely have absolutely nothing with the core philosophies of that party?
All to the benefit of whom?
The American Citizenry?
Ask yourself - for one ****ing moment: Does having a two party system help the US Citizen, or hurt the US Citizen?
And once you've answered that, if it does not benefit the US Citizen, THEN WHO THE FUK IS IT BENEFITING?
I know tribalism feels good and all, but for ****'s sake to continue to apply this chit to our government is driving the country into the ground. Keep the tribalism contained to sports and areas that will not ruin hundreds of millions of lives and retard the development of the human species, thanks. Why Insurance Does Not Make You Safe:

Socialism in the Marxist sense revolves around economic equality and total egalitarianism, while socialism as interpreted by a populist revolves around the principle of all individuals placing the interests of their nation before their own, while not discarding meritocratic hierarchy as an essential component of society.
I am not American, so my perspective of the USA is that of an out-group. It seems clear to me, however, that you're dissatisfied with the current political climate. I don't blame you at all - democracy, especially in a two-party system, is a destructive and grossly limited system. However, I do not understand what relevance this has to what I said in response to the OP.Last edited by NatsocMiscer; 05-21-2015 at 07:07 AM.

What it means is we are not inclined towards large-scale collectivism, nor have we been in the past for thousands of years except for a few isolated incidents.
Tribalism has been around forever. But that's just the thing about Tribalism. For there to be "us" there must also be "them." Therefore again, it is opposed to a unified collective. Why Insurance Does Not Make You Safe:

Oh snap.......that was my thought as well.
I was listening to an urban talk show this morning where they were endorsing the use of what I always considered to be a derogatory term for black people, starts with an "N", yet they were saying it was derogatory only if voiced by a white person....so apparently blacks, like the whites they accuse of being racist, get to do things and say things based solely on the color of their skin.
And I listen to these talk shows because I care enough about my fellow man to try and understand why they hate me if for no other reason than the color of my skin.
