Spent the best part of last week staying in a Japanese church (not Christian), with about 50 people living there. A member of the church and the minister started talking to me while I was waiting at a bus stop. Met all kinds of people from different backgrounds while I was there. It was great to be living with what was basically a big family and the minister was basically taking me out for food all the time. Turns out the church is pretty famous in Japan.
Now I'm staying with a family in Osaka. Strong middle-class house with Swedish aesthetics. brb, double height ceilings in Japan. Saw some hags in summer dresses earlier. They were HNNNNNGGGG (no raw taste of peas)
The other family I stayed with last week were great as well. I'm going to see them again before I head off to Tokyo because I promised their kids I'd bring them souvenirs back from Fukuoka from when I was there.
Enjoy your no pictures unless you on Skype and even then, enjoy the no pictures unless you're perm'd.
Will try IRL.

And on the plus side, as a travelling foreigner, I've had like 11 days of free accommodation so far. Das it.
I wouldn't quite go so far as to say living the dream doe. Japan is great; I've met and stayed some amazing people and had experiences that I will remember for the rest of my days. All of my experiences so far have been absolutely amazing and I've been privvy to stuff that few foreigners will experience.
I'd be lying if I said that there wasn't also a lot of chit that is generally hidden from view from foreigners that are also willingly ignorant due to that there weeaboo factor and consequent belief that the country is perfect. Seeing what they want to see and nothing more. Like, to some people you could show them a loaf of bread in Japanese packaging and they'll be like "SUGEE, NIPPON PAN", when it's just 2x thickness bread or green tea flavoured snacks (srs, stuff like that is the least interesting chit ever). Take away the weeaboo factor that causes people to believe stuff like nihonjinron; see the similarities and Japan really isn't that different to anywhere else in the world, although there are obviously some marked differences.Last edited by Tabris; 05-17-2015 at 05:22 AM.

Well this checks out. If he says no loli was posted, non were. We'd know if they were posted by a quote.
Like any shounen I start that's airing I watch the first few episodes, then leave it until I'm ~5 eps+ behind. Then I start watching again reading what will happen, until the final ep when I catch up (sometimes, or I'll just wait for a show to end and drop based on last ep, especially if romance is involved)
Late to the thread, not surprising coming from you

lolol Broccoli pls
Sure, violence plays a factor in determining whether a show is made for the Shouenen (teenage male demographic) or Seinen (adult male demographic). It's essentially the same concept as PG-13 movies vs rated-R movies. But AoT is definitely shounen. Everything about it screams shouenen.
Terra Formars, Gantz, Vagabond, and Berserk (manga, not anime) are other perfect examples of action Seinen series. It's pretty easy to pickup within an ep or two what demographic a show is meant for
Keep Broccolling broccoli brah
