R.I.P. in pieces Thibs. It was good...besides not winning a chip.
A new era begins doe...
Let us all remember this year's run guys. Primed to win it all since the beginning with the signings of Pau & Mirotic & the Cavs being seen as our only true competition in the East. We went through some injuries to Jimmy, Noah, Taj, McBuckets, Cap'n Kirk and yet another Rose surgery scare (although turned out to be not too serious), but we ended up entering the PO with the most healthy squad the Bulls have had in years.
We some how were unable to sweep MIL in the first round when we were up 3-0, but made up for it with a 54 point blow out win in Game 6 to take the series 4-2.
And in the end, we fell to a depleted Cavs team that was anchored by a bench that stepped up and outplayed our starters in Game 6. 2-4 series exit.
The highlight of the second round series for me had to be the Rose game winner in Game 3.

For reals, it feels like Bulls have an opportunity here to go in so many different directions.
Excited to see what happens this off-season.
TBH i wouldn't mind going with Pau/Noah again. Pau came in for less money to win a chip, i think we should give him another year. Dude had an unbelievable year for CHI and yeah he was soft at times, but we should have expected that. An injury during the Cavs series shouldn't be the reason we all chit on him. He probably will opt out after next season anyways (player option) because of the new cap. But who knows, maybe he just wants to finish out this deal and retire? I wouldn't mind him doing that either, since with the new cap, he'd be an all-star level championship vet at a great price.
Noah obviously had a down year, but i think you can compare him to Batum from POR. I think injuries hampered them so badly this season. Yeah Noah needs to just focus on rebounding and playing D, keeping his activity level up, but it's always nice to have his passing just in case. A whole off-season of rest should help him out. Hopefully he stays healthy during it and doesn't need another surgery of some kind.
Perhaps whoever comes in to coach will find a way to work all 4 Pau/Noah/Taj/Mirotic into the roataion equally.
I actually think Chicago may try to trade Taj this off-season though.
If Bulls can trade Taj and sign Ed Davis. Hnnnggg.

Innnn!!!!! The best part of this season is us seeing that at times this team can be great. We have 2 guards, and a big who's proven they can put up some major points. IF we get another coach, I hope we get someone who can push the chemistry and not murder it. I would go for a more solid back up point guard, we have some solid shooting as long as they are given ample time to develop a chemistry throughout the season. Also I think we need better offensive schemes other than Noah at the top of the key, and rose/butler isolation plays.

sure, change is always exciting. still a chance thibs stays though, which i wouldn't mind. long as he's given a dependable roster. no more tired and washed backup PG's hoping to resurrect a career. besides n8 robinson, they've all flopped in the postseason.
derrick, jimmy, mcd, niko, pau is looking like a real joocy potential starting lineup for next season though1. DRose

Ya keyword was "hope" but based on these rumors that are surfacing, I doubt that will happen. Supposedly Rose and Butler beefed during the 2nd round on who should run the offense.
Rose I guess "gave up" game 6 according to this report http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/05/...marred-game-6/
I said it months back when butler was getting all the love that Rose Butler would be the next Westbrook Durant where people on the outside would blame one for holding the other back. It is looking like it is headed in that direction heading into next year if Butler is re-signed.Bulls--Bears

lol @ anyone believing this fool dan bernstein aka poor man's skip bayless. for the unaware, he's made it his mission to spew rose hate. he's the chicago media's version of our own bpatel.
you guys really believe derrick and jimmy "beefed" lol?
rose will never win. he's too aggressive, "derrick stop playing hero ball, you have jimmy now". he plays team ball "derrick you gave up, and you obviously have "beef" with jimmy, because you let him take more shots than you".
i think derrick and jimmy complement each other very well. Derrick has demonstrated over and over that he's willing share the spotlight with anyone, in fact he deflects it more than anything. Jimmy is no different.
rose had great starts to gm 5 & 6, and fell of slowly as the games went on. he went from not playing for 6 weeks to jumping into the playoffs, playing 6 vs bucks which were a challenge, then couple days later, another 6, every other day vs cavs. how about he was just tired? maybe he was hurting?
where was the jimmy rose beef when both were putting up 40+ combined every game and putting the team on their backs? the "story" didn't apply then ?Last edited by kengriffeyjr; 05-18-2015 at 12:33 PM.

I haven't heard anything from friedell so idk. but it's known bernstein/cowley love to push rose nonsense. This is Derrick Rose, man. this is the same guy who chit on the cavs on one knee before the ASB, and in his postgame interview, did nothing but praise tony snell......tony fuking snell. The same guy who according to Jimmy in his postgame interviews, throughout the season including playoffs, is continuously encouraging him to shoot more and assert himself more on offense. the same guy who said "i'm rolling with keith", he backed keith fuking bogans!
i can agree about derrick's struggles being more to do with inconsistency/hurting/fatigue. but giving up, and willingly checking himself out of a playoff game, because he's all of a sudden a salty teammate? nah.
last summer it was the whole derrick recruiting thing, now he has conflict with jimmy...c'mon man, clown story. let's hear the next one.

I could be wrong. But, I think a majority of these rumors are surfacing based on the idea of jimmy butler being open to offers over the summer. Last year it was rose not recruiting which turned out to be false. Then it was steven a smith saying Rose was sitting out games with team usa because he's act hurt, and not sore. I will lol if any of this rose vs butler beef is true.

professional troll, who doesn't even cover the bulls (lol) and takes any opportunity he has at professing his hate for rose, claims derrick is suddenly salty and there's tension, because he wouldn't wave jimmy butler off, and kept giving the ball to his star counterpart....
how about the bulls' lack of offensive scheme/coaching is responsible for the predictable 7 minute dry runs? or 2 really good players, who've barely even played a season's worth of games with each other, are still figuring each other out...in an offense that lacks a scheme/coaching? or how about derrick was hurt? those i can buy.
