Coming from a guy who owns a 7mm mag, go with a 300wm. It's ganna be your best option for taking large game in the common calibers. Any of those calibers listed will get the job done but my vote goes to the 300. I've seen what my 7mm mag does to a bear and I've also seen what a 300 does to a bear.

I got it knocked down to 4.5" after my workout when the rain let up for a while. I'll take it down a little more on Wednesday after work. I need to sharpen my blades on my mower.

I can't believe there's no deals on reloading bullets today.

They are both pretty stout. Total weight of the rifle will also factor felt recoil. A lighter rifle will be much more tolerable to carry long distances such as an elk hunt but you will feel a lot more recoil out of that lighter rifle. I have hiked with a heavy rifle up and down ridges and I would take a lighter rifle that kicked more any day of the week. If I had to compare 7mm would be a little more than a 30-06 and the 300 is a step up from 7mm. A muzzle brake and recoil pad will cut a 300 down to a 270 in felt recoil but it's ganna be loud as **** for anyone behind the rifle.

This is from personal experience hunting in my geographical location and climate. Your situation might be different in the climate and terrain you hunt in so YMMV

Well, learned my lesson about budget optics. Was running an $80 reflex sight on my KSG. Had killer reviews, lots of people swore by them on their mossbergs, etc, and my KSG shattered that bitch 20 shells in.

Where you again? Shiner is fairly national.

I've been drinking SW Ohio beers pretty exclusively this spring, I may not be much help.

    Hey everyone!

Didnt want to interrupt anybody, but I have a quick question. Recently I bought a Beretta 9mm and had the magazine release switched to the other side. Im left handed, and would like to switch the decocker as well, but because the way the grips are cut, that would mean getting new grips. And everywhere I've looked I havent found any. Does something like that have to be custom made?

Also is there even a way to switch the decocker? Im not a hundred percent sure, but it would awesome if i could.

    Thanks in advance!

So you have a G model with a slide mounted decocker? Or do you have one of those rare ones with the frame mounted safety?

For a slide mounted decocker, you can have an ambi one installed. For a frame mounted safety Im not sure if you can find an ambi safety.

Or do you mean the slide release?

    Some pics would help.

Edit: an hour later it rains.

I finally broke out the charcoal side of my grill. Made burgers, grilled onions, and grilled corn on the cob. **** propane, that stuff is no longer fit to eat.
