I just saw a g17 pop up for $400 but it's 4 hours away. I'd sell my shield to buy it if it was close.

Thinking about drinking belmont jewels today. Would be at the race today but it will be a zoo like last year because of the triple crown possibility.

Afternoon, boys. Need to get caught up on the last day or so.
Just got back from the mountains. In-laws had their 50th wedding anniversary yesterday, so had a full day of activities with that. Last night as part of the extravaganza, a bunch of us got rooms at a nice hotel/casino about 45 mins west of Denver in the mountains and went up to gamble and drink. Mostly drink. Ended up finding a decent blackjack table and the Mrs and I came out about $500 ahead in the end.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

Hey MFC! I was on a week unpaid vacation on BB.com for typing a four letter word,LOL! The four letter word was the substance Walter White was cooking in his lab......wow....
any way, I have a lot of projects I did with my free time while not glued on the misc, I need to take pics so I can show you what I did to my AK's.
Here is some stuff I learned googling for desiccant packs, its roll your own version for us DIY guys.
http://www.amazon.com/T-Sac-Filter-D...empty+tea+bags
and
silica kitty litter, make sure it's not mixed with any other stuff, it needs to be silica only.

You can find other brands of silica kitty litter, make sure to read whats in it first.
Fill the #2 or #3 empty tea bags with the kitty litter, and throw them in your ammo box. Forget drying them after a few months, toss them out and roll a new one instead, it's frigging cheap rolling your own desiccant packs. You can use coffeee filters instead of tea bags, staple them up shut after filling them.

It almost didn't turn out that positive. We were both down about $200 at one point early on and were about to bail, but got onto a pretty long streak where we won a lot more than we lost. Got a streak of decent hands, some timely hits. bunch of good double-down opportunities and the dealers were busting (was single-deck play).
We don't go up there very much, but it's fun from time to time. The casino's have bumped up the minimums on the tables, so it's hard (especially on a Friday night) to find a $10 or $15 table . . . and I don't really like to play the $25 tables very much. We got spots on that single-deck table that was $15 min and could ride that out til we got on that streak.
Got a good deal on one of the nice suites. Awesome room . . . had a separate bar area, living room, fireplace, multiple flatscreen tvs, nice view, etc. Not our actual room, but same thing below. There's a huge bathroom that you can't even see off the bedroom. And the bedroom has a big jacuzzi tub.

Both are TST. I like the looks and feel of the KAC on the SCAR, but if I only had the TD I wouldn't feel bad about it, its mostly because the FDE of the TD is way off from any of the shades on the scar lol. The TD is like a big beefy grip, whereas the KAC is obviously sleek and skinny. See if you can just get both for $60 and compare them like I did lol, if not get the KAC.

Cleaned my G17 after taking it to the range a few weeks ago. I find it very relaxing to take a gun apart, examine it, clean it, lube it up, and put it back together.

Hoppe's #9 for the bore, I really like the smell.
Mobil 1 for grease, I bet the tub will out live me.
Mobil 1 for lube oil, works great on my AK.
Sometimes generic brand non-chlorinated brake cleaner to realy clean a firearm when its filthy or covered in cosmoline.
Ballistol for my conceal carry guns, easier to wash off any oil stains from my clothes.
EDIT: I fill plastic syringes with the Mobil 1 grease, I keep a full syringe in my range bag, and one in my gun cleaning box.
