Mike T has coached more Champions in his short career then most coaches have in the last 10 years. The Results speak for them selves, Plus he is the only American to get gold in the Worlds in a long long time. I believe that the next top 2 Powerlifters use his system as well.

Why isn't the RTS program more popular?

For me, it is my unreliability in calling my own RPE's accurately enough to use the system. Still working towards it, and when I get there I'll use it for sure.

The RTS style of training is very popular.

I thought the same way, hired Mike as my coach. After the first week the RPE was actually pretty easy to calculate. Just got to be within .5 on the top set, the ramp up sets before the top set are usually dialed in by set number 2.
Maybe its my Search button skills, typed in RTS, very few things popped up.Current Maxes 6/10/2015 and End of year Goals

It's a rather new system as far as most people are concerned, (despite the fact that super strong people have been auto-regulating for years on an individual basis). It's growing in popularity. I think it will get a bit bigger over the next few years.

Correct, its not the latest. But like everything else, DUP will soon be a fad and then come back again.
For the Lazy yes, but for a motivated lifter no.
Makes sense, just don't like the RTS forums, supposed to be updated soon.

What he meant to say is the World Games. The World Games is like the Olympics for non-Olympic sports and thus the pinnacle of powerlifting in many people's eyes. I believe Mike Tuchscherer was the 1st USAPL male to win a gold medal at the World Games in powerlifting. Other big names that have won are Sivokon, Tsung-ting, Fedesienko and Olech. Guys like CYC, Castillo, Siders, Gillingham I believe never won.

Was just talking about the mans accomplishments nothing more nothing less. The pinnacle of Power Lifting in my eyes, the dude is crazy strong. And of course I am not nieve to think that everybody will get the same results as Mike has out of the RTS and RPE. I like his program that he runs and have become a increasing fan of RPE over a period of time.

This. There's always something newer, sleeker, sexier than the last thing. Until now with DUP, because really is there anything sexier than this?
No. The answer to that question is no. On a more serious note, just about every USAPL targeted program I've seen from a big time coach and/or lifter like Zourdos, Norton, and Arian all incorporate RTS concepts, and RTS has also evolved to incorporate new concepts as well. It's a system not a program and it evolves over time.

I love Mike's articles, videos, advice, training style, etc. etc. But I just simply do better with set in stone percentages. I would say my training is more heavily influenced by Mike's methods than any other powerlifter, but its just I would rather go into my workout with my mind wrapped around exactly what I am going to do and how I am going to do it. Then I auto regulate from there, though personally this is mostly just auto regulation of weight/intensity as I try to maintain my targeted volume at all costs.
Strong, aesthetic crew.
