You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Are 45lb plates with the york "K" looking something like this "l <" where the legs of K are not touching anything special? May drive out to pick them up but I'm wondering if it's worth the time.
I've recently caught the york bug after picking up 320lb of milled pre USA stamped plates. There's so much info in this thread and I appreciate all the effort people have put into this.

Picked up a pair of York 45s yesterday, as well as a couple of pairs of random unbranded 50s. The 45s have York stamped on them twice. I searched the York Plates Google doc and couldn't find any info on them. I searched both YBBC threads and found a couple mentions of them, but not much else.
Apparently these are Canadian? They have three spokes, not milled or lathed, and they have 5% weight tolerances. About 440mm in diameter. Would love to know more about where they came from and how old they might be.

Not that old, not that collectible.

Like everything, that varies by region. I can unload the USA stamped ones in common denominations pretty quickly at $1/lb, but as much as $1.50/lb if I don't mind sitting on them for awhile. For pre-USA and the less common size USA stamps (70+), I can offload them at $1.50/lb pretty quickly and go up to $2/lb if I don't mind them gathering dust for a bit.

York 45 plate sizes
I’m sure this is been discussed before but I can’t find it. I have some USA marked 45 plates and some unmarked 45 plates. The unmarked plates are about a quarter of an inch larger than the USA plates. Both types are milled.
Does that make my unmarked plates an earlier, contemporary or later vintage than the USA plates? The style is virtually the same between the two. Why is there a size difference?
Thanks,
Patrick

DD’s and RH.
Just picked up my 9’s last week to complete my Pre RH full set and just picked these up today for my second set of DD’s.
Finally.
I’ve met tons of cool people and will continue to hunt for the old iron. Thanks everyone for the answered questions and guidance!

We should do a call for members first. Who else besides the "49 Club" member, vintageironlife?

What is considered a full set of Kg plates? It's a pair of 20's and 2 pairs each of 10's, 5's, 2.5's, and 1.25's right? I am still looking for more, but I have one full set and just short of a second.

This one time, in band camp, a band member decided to quit the band. He went to a camp counselor, who removed his name from the band roster. The counselor also counseled other band members. The former band member still shows up at band camp and posts pics of horns and other musical instruments that he bought in the second-hand market. The band ignores him and carries on with their lives.
You get nothing Bulkmore, but the admonition to bulk more and post less. You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?
