M3 is fine except it's wide as tits.
Saw one couple of days ago in black and i thought (from a distance) that it was a gallardo or some other small form supercar.
E46 M3 is about the perfect size - after that they started getting too big with no real benefit.
1M coupe is the same size as the E46 M3.
New M3 is like an old 5 series except it has two doors.Personal bests (all 4 lifts in a single session):
Incline bench: 265lbs x 5 x 4
Squat: 360 x 5 x 3
Deadlift: 420 x 5 x 4
Standing overhead press: 180 x 5 x 4
33" vert, 4.8 40yrd dash, 10.95s 100m sprint, 59s 400m sprint

as others have stated, most of BMWs HP and torque numbers are vastly under advertised.

I'd rather have a car that is half a second slower to 60 with a naturally aspirated V8 that winds up to 8400 rpm than the disgusting Civic fartbox sound of the latest models.
No idea how people can pony up $70K+ for these cars and not care about the sound.
The C63 AMG sh*ts all over it.

Pay $50,000 for a Mustang GT350R thats not even nurburgring designed, laps the nurburgring at 7:32
Pay $60,000 for an M3 thats been tested at the nurburgring for decades with its own facility, laps the nurburgring at 7:50
lol just lol

wasnt aware mustang and bmw compete with eachother on any kind of target market.
one is a european luxury car targeted at old rich people or their kids
the other is targeting people who wants a fast american cheap(ish) car.

People still compare cars by their lap times? Welcome back to 2008. It's been a while.
also people who argue Mustang vs M3 make me laugh. Nobody is crossshopping a dime-a-dozen car with an average chassis that looks like half the rental cars from Hertz and the M3.
brb comparing the price of a Ford vs BMW directly to their lap times because that's why people buy M3s or much less Mustangs
also brb this sounds bad
stfu australian. new C63 sounds like your average Mustang GT with magnaflow. The old one sounded 10x better. M3 has a nice mechanical sound.

The sound inside the cabin is fake. LTFOL that you wasted your time posting a video with fake engine sound.
Listen to what's coming out of the exhaust. Sorry to rustle your BMW fanboy jimmies but it sounds like garbage.
Of course I prefer the M156 which should be obvious considering I was fapping over the naturally aspirated V8 in the previous M3.
However the new one still sounds more than "10x better" than the new M3/M4.
Say it again.

You realize every other car on the road is a BMW? Lol. 95% of them are leased, which is basically a rental car, and they all look the same. Black/silver/white in color. I dont even blink an eye at a BMW driving past me, Its on par with a Civic. So you failed miserably at that comparison.
Hell, Put a base Benz C250 next to a top of the line BMW and the BMW looks like absolute crap in comparison.
And yes, That M3 sounds terrible.I like the tuna here.

I dont give a chit if the M3 exhaust sounds like a kazoo.
I want one bad.
its such a total winning package from top to bottom its really ridiculous to hear people bash it like this.
the C63 is nice as well but saying it chits all over the M3 is kind of far fetched.
I love the mustang as well. the mustangs vs M3's have been battling on the streets since 95.
both perform similar but are on the opposite side of the spectrum in everything else but speed and handling. why cant people just respect both cars for what they are?Last edited by Yotone; 05-13-2015 at 05:47 AM.

Just as you're entitled to your opinion which I can respect, I'm entitled to mine.
I think when you drop this kind of coin on a car ($70K+ in the US and an ass reaming $180K+ on this island) the sound of it should add to the overall experience of driving it and I'm not talking about fake sounds being piped into the cabin. The E46 and E92 had great sounding engines.
