    Main Compound Lifts??

    Hi

I done my first workout of the HRT today and I was amazed at the burn and feel this could comewhat improve my over training considerably so have started integrating the programme into my routine. However after having a look further at this I have found that there is no sign of the main compound lifts i.e. squat, bent over row, pull up???

Why is this programme so reliant on machines?

Anyone changed the programme up to incorporate more free weight exercises?

The HRT is a pretty well known routine. And from what i've seen can deliver great results as is. But then again, would those results be better if you added in some squats or deadlifts? Probably..

HRT is a well known routine, effective, and is a good solo training program. If however you don't mind asking others to spot you on compound lifts that aren't machines... you'd probably be further ahead...
I pick things up and put them down.
