I'm on week 6 of madcows 5x5 and it was day 1 today.
Started off on squats, it all felt good until I got to my new 5 rep max (120kg). First 3 reps were fine the fourth one was hard as fk and then I had like a 5 second breather and the last rep was unbelievably hard I literally froze half way before finally getting it up.
Next was the bench press and all was fine until the last set. First 3 reps were okay but then it got hard as fk. Again in the last rep I got stuck halfway that my mate had to spot me a little and i ended up hurting my hamstring how is this possible?
Then barbell rows same story tbh the last 2 reps on my 5 rep max were shtty form and hard as phuck.
Why's it getting so hard halfway through? Should I increase my calories by around 200-300?
