5 years!!! Holy crap. I've been graced by your epicness for that long!!! I feel so honored. ;-)
Seriously, I remember coming on here in 2009 and you were one of the first people I "met" and gave a damn about. lol.
Was freaking out when my subbed thread said the last post was 4/27. I was like "no freaking way! What happened to hammy." But glad to know you are now here.
Keep on Rocking it!

Major day of productivity! Went to work, went to LTF for hot tub, swimming, and sauna time, then got my Scotts Turfbuilder HNNNGGGG and mulch at Home Depot. Managed to clean (absolutely spotless) the living room and dining room, including steam cleaning the carpetting in there. I also Max-proofed the shelving in the living room. He recently figured out it would be fun to climb the dvd shelves which are not meant to be climbed on, and could tip over, so I got a stud finder and screwed those suckers right into the wall. Then I Scotts-ed the lawn, cut some tree branches, and whacked some weeds. BOOM! That's a very good start to my Spring crap I need to get done. My parents are visiting next weekend (my dad was sick during mothers day so we didn't do anything) so I am even more motivated to make the house all sparkly.
Seriously considering putting some fun water related thing in the backyard this year so I can run around like an idiot in my spiderman shorts when it's 90 degrees out. What is there that would be awesome? I was thinking slip and slide but I'm sure those seemed a lot bigger when I was a kid, today that kind of thing could lead to serious injury if I went into a full sprint, I'd probably hit a few trees. Sprinklers, small pool, some crazy inflatible thing made for kids but big enough to contain Hammy all hopped up on Jack3d? Also no fuks given how ridiculous it looks to neighbors, pretty sure my reputation was forever shattered the day I went over the yellow jacket nest with the mower and ran through the yard screaming obscenities and tearing my clothes off. Srs, happened 2 summers ago, everyone saw London and France that day.Current PRs:

Just catching up on your journal. Lots of epic lifting as always. And lots of epic grocery shopping I thought of you Thursday when I seriously bought at least one of every kind of meat in Kroger to bbq over the weekend. So. Much. Food.
Oh yardio... How I hate it. Although I do enjoy admiring the results. And I kind of like the smell of Scott's Turf Builder...
I honestly think cats really just enjoy watching things fall to the ground. If something shatters or spills, all the better. Which is why this cracked me up:

Well I bought enough friggin' Turfbuilder to cover the whole neighborhood it seems. At least I'll have a bag for next season.
I treat that chit like nuclear radiation, special shoes for applying it that stay in the garage, strip off clothes, wash hands, and shower within five minutes of being done with it, srs. Turfbuilder how does it work?

Well you know what's really crazy? I have almost 10,000 replies in my journal AGAIN. lol! I'll have to start another new one this year! But the last one was from 4 years ago or something. Where does the time go? How long have I been here? Hahaha!
Oh, you cleaned too! I'm jelly. I need to gut/clean the place so bad. There's a wall made up of 20+ dozen beer in the laundry room we've been meaning to get rid of for about 2 months now. lol.
Can you get a decent sized swimming pool? The ones that you pump up each year but are actually good? Stephen's parents have one and they had it for about 7 years now and it's still good. It's big enough to swim laps in and was less than 1000.00. That's great exercise for a jack3d up hammieTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Another Spring cleaning day at Ham Manor. Got home from work around 3 and went right to it! Today I did the family room (aka the room where most of the pets' toys are and festivities such as the Xmas tree ensue.) I rampaged it, moved some huge ass shelves out that were scaring me (due to ninja Max and his no fear attitude lol), didn't really need em in there so they will be used in another room. Vacuumed the cat tower in there and retightened all the bolts, dusted everything, steam cleaned the carpet, rearranged some furniture. In the midst of washing all the oddball blankets from the couches, pet beds, etc. Everything is going to be fresh as can be. Need to windex some paw prints off the glass doors again, but other than that we're good. So only have the kitchen and bathroom left, then tackle the upstairs which will be easier and quicker. Got some lingering artwork/framed pics that I want to finally get to hanging up too.
Depends how late I'm at work tomorrow, I do want to lift, will continue the spring cleaning too if I have an hour or two. Parents are visiting Sunday so I'm hoping no one has any mishaps on the awesome looking carpets before then. This steam cleaner is friggin' amazing (bissell proheat pet), got to try out that little separate brush thing for those "omg wtf is THAT on the carpet" horrors, it is like magic I swear. Would probably work well for someone who has a bunch of little kids running around too as I imagine your house would have a pretty constant sprinkling of poo particles everywhere.Current PRs:

Good, strong workout. Still coughing a fair amount when I do a DL sesh, everything else I'm fine on, so hopefully this sickness of death is finally wrapping up. Want to get back in the 290 range for at least doubles on DL and work up to try to hit a new max. In my wt class for the DL comp I think someone has 320 so I'd love to nail 330-335 before it's over this summer. Strongest OHP day I've had in a while so that was nice. Haven't had 100lb on there for a while, feelsgoodham.jpg to throw 100lb over your head a few times.
Have been kind of obsessed with learning about the Station nightclub fire tragedy, happened 12 yrs ago, honestly don't remember hearing about it back then. Anyway ran across something on reddit about it a couple months ago and have been watching and reading everything about it. If you are unaware of the actual video of this event I highly suggest you don't even seek it out. That is by far the most disturbing thing I have ever viewed and I am one of those morbidly curious people who is always on liveleak looking for death and destruction (with people only, let me make that clear, anything involving animals would truly upset me so I steer clear of that stuff.) Not usually bothered by anything with humans, just curious as most people are I suppose, could never understand why all the beheading vids or even the hammer/screwdriver dudes got such reactions out of people cause those were like meh for me, interesting, but not disturbing. But this one with the vid... ugh, truly haunting. Anyways, amazoned the book "Killer Show" which is said to be an amazing read. Until this I was reading a lot about nuclear power plant disasters and radiation sickness which I also find fascinating. Science and what people choose to do with it is truly mind blowing.

Great lifting, Hammie! Glad to hear the horrible sickness is getting better. I hate getting crap like that. Once I start coughing I don't stop without serious medical intervention. It sucks.
Yeah, it takes a lot to make me cringe and actually look away from something awful, with people anyway. I'm with you on the nanimals. Nanimals are different. But that Station Nightclub thing was truly horrible. No one should have to die like that.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Glad you're feeling better!
I'm not easily disturbed, but working in the medical filed I can imagine the state some of the survivors would be in coming in to the ER, and then as a psych major/nurse, can see how survivors would just have a horrible time "getting over" something like that. I tend to stay clear of stuff like that. Too emotionally draining.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

Yeah, I would never be able to be someone in ER, medic, fire, would be horribly disturbed if I had to see that stuff in person. Feel terrible for the fire fighters who had to show up to that one, there wasn't much they could do with how out of control that was at that point.

Worked out in the morning, felt much more enegetic. Wanted to lift yesterday but was exhausted, forced myself to cut the grass and do some yard work instead of tryna squat like that. Ran a bunch of errands today - Home Depot of peace, picked up a couple extra fire extinguishers to keep in the cars, srs, also have 3 in the house, would rather be paranoid and peppered than not. Who knows, could even come across someone else's wreck where they're trapped and could greatly help someone by having that on hand. Also went to my favorite place Old Time Pottery, my god the wonders I find at that store...
Hulk Smash, baby!!
And a magical gnome riding a frog eating an ice cream cone - best... find... ever - LMAO!
Gonna put the gnome in the landscaping area in the front with the mulch I'm putting down. Considering getting a few more of these guys and making a creepy gnome army riding frogs eating ice cream, because... well why wouldn't you?!
Also got a few throw rugs, small piece of actual white carpet I have been looking for forever for one little detail on a cat tree build I'm doing, deck chair cause I broke one by sitting on it lolol, and umbrella for the table on the deck. That store is the best for outdoor/kitchen/home decor, you always find something cool. Parents are coming over tomorrow to visit and to celebrate like the last 3 holidays that have occured haha. Ok. Now I have to look up this Station Nightclub. ETA: The Great White fire. Omg! That was just awful. Can't even imagine. Those poor people. I always check out exit doors when we go anywhere. Always get a low floor at a hotel.
Glad you are feeling better. Your chin-ups/pull-ups are freakin amazing.
Jelly of all of your spring cleaning. I need to do that. It's nice having company because that's when chit gets done!! Enjoy your visit with your parents.
I am a freak about fires and am always buying fire extinguishers. If I have the crock pot on overnight, I put a fire extinguisher in our bedroom (2nd floor) in case it catches on fire and we have to run through fire to get out of the house. We have a condo at a lake and we are on the top floor. I'm paranoid about it catching on fire. The building right next to ours was struck by lightning and burned down, which freaks me out. I want to do a practice drill down the fire escape because it is so narrow I don't think I'd fit down it while carrying the dog. freaking out just thinking about it!!Last edited by JenSTL4; 05-16-2015 at 08:59 PM.

Nice lifting as always Hammie. That gnome is so awesome. I love Home Depot. Srs. I could spend hours in there every day of the week. Would much rather go to Home Depot than the grocery store.
Hope you had a great day with the parental units
I need to clean so badly. I just can't get motivated to do it. But you have motivated me to check my fire extinguishers. Thank you Vic! Heehee, Max was trying to lick the frog's toes, he goes after my toes too... the boy has a thing for feet.
RIP people, young too, most 18 to mid thirties. Yes, I have been to shows in small, dark, indoor venues much like that. I swear some of those we've gone to especially in high school/college age I would have no clue where the emergency exits were, it was tough enough trying to shimmy through all the people just to get to the restroom. Now everywhere I go I will check and make sure I'm not setting myself up to be trapped. Also now aware that in some instances if a pyro/stunt goes awry there may not be people who work there that are going to jump up and handle it, mind=blown there weren't guys with extinguishers around just in case. Great advice on the hotels too.

Thanks Lassie, omg Home Depot motivates me to do so much stuff. I leave there thinking I could build a new deck with stone pizza oven built in and a fountain next to it.

Tee hee!
Ha, you were probably startling all the fish! Yeah I'm only coughing every now and then, and it usually results in me having to spit out some really disgusting stuff, I don't know what part of the body that's produced in but it doesn't look good, lol. Thank you Turkey!Current PRs:

Beep beep beep, back up the truck, I'm in total Santa-ham mode here at 181 lbs lulz. Gonna do a cut before I break anymore lawn chairs, heehee, will start counting cals immediately and will set it at 2500 to start. Ate a chit ton of chinese food and cookie cake with frosting this weekend so I'll probably lose like 5lbs in pee alone over the next day haha. But yes srs gonna get on track right now and do a cut, it sure as hell will help my pull ups and chin ups.
Decent bench day, it gets heavy at 165 for me so I need to work on that. All things considered that was a pretty damn graceful fail. Weirdest wt ever at 130 on close grip but 135 just seemed too much yet I wanted to push past 125 this time.
Ok since youtube is acting like a drunken turtle right now let me aware you on my latest Amazon purchases of peace and prosperity! Broke my Hand-X Band (elbow rehab device, it's like a rubber band you hook to your fingers to practice pushing your fingers outward, like the opposite of grip.) Got a set of 5 rehab hand bands called Aylio, actually like them better since there are different ones for different amounts of force, also easier to slip on your hand. Using these every day. Also got a veterinary toothpaste/brush kit for Max, yes 100% srs. His meds were switched to a pill form and he is extremely tolerant of me giving him a pill to swallow every day. He doesn't seem bothered by me having my fingers in his mouth, so I'm like BOOM - I bet he will put up with me brushing his teeth! So we're going to start small and see if he can get used to that, it would be a huge positive to his overall health if I'm able to do that regularily for him. My other cat has a major freak out when I even do the little tiny drop of flea meds on her back so the teeth brushing will not be attempted on her to ensure I don't lose any fingers, lol.Current PRs:
