    Any Detractors To...

The classic combination of Squat, Bench, and Deadlift? That is, those lifts STRICTLY 3 times a week adhering to a "Rippetoe" 3 SETS of 5 REPS [Deadlift only 1 SET of 5] while attempting to increase weight at every training session? I am willing and equipped to do these three classics weekly for strength training but I think it prudent to ask if this basic approach will either be too inefficient or potentially dangerous in the long term. Thanks.

i mean you could but theres a reason why he alternates bench with OHP and power cleans with deads! or deads alternated with rows! PC's are great but VERY technical! if you dont know how to do them properly stick with the rows! if you do then definetly do the PC's to aid in your strength for you dead and squat

You will be limiting yourself to what you can gain, and probably stall out on progress pretty quickly doing that honestly. There are better routes to take. The Fierce 5 Novice routine is well balanced and should be do-able with basic equipment.
