Oh wow, I'm shocked........
You would think after a certain level of FDA involvement in certain companies, they would just shut them down. Not that consumers care, as long as you make a good tasting protein, lets avoid those liver failure issues. I love companies with the name science in them, who do no science.I used to own things.

I've been asking some of reps of companies whose products manufactured by Hi-tech how they can be sure that their products are safe considering that manufacturer's conducts in the past and apparently in the present they never answered but I got my answer now. Also mike why companies don't say who manufactures for them? why is it kept as a secret?

They have their own manufacturing facility and do a lot of private labeling too. You would be surprised at some of the more popular supplement companies that use Hi-Tech to make their products..

Just do a search on the President of the company listed in the link. Seems like a good guy who I would trust to make MY products if I had a supplement company..
It all started with Renewtrient (GHB) back in the day..

Do you have any clue what the work conditions in China generally is? Apple isn't running or using sweatshops.
I've worked in a Chinese owned factory in the states for a few years. To a typical westerner it would be considered sweatshop-like conditions, guess what? We ALL wanted MORE overtime even though we were already already working 10-12 hour shifts. It's a cultural thing. I can't say the same for factories Nike produces in, but the factories that Apple uses, those are very familiar to me.Completed Logs & Reviews:

Well if people in the US think their food is handled better...
Have I been in China? No I have been throughout Latin America and the conditions are NOT good and far worse than anywhere inside of the US. My thoughts on the working status in the US is not good the need for all that overtime is an entirely different convo and it is also not good.
Apple has had contracts with hundreds of companies many of which have been the target of human rights violations and multitude of deaths-- Microwaves everyday crew --

Apple produces in China. Thus what you know about Latin America does not apply to China. As for human rights violations, that's China in general and as for the multitudes of deaths, the suicide rates in the populations of the factory compounds (which are essentially small cities) are in line if not lower than their national suicide rate.
It's nonsensical to look at China's working conditions and projecting western values on to it. Different culture entirely. You do realize that in China, that one child policy, people had to BRIBE local authorities JUST so that they can officially report that they have broken the one child policy right? That's China.Completed Logs & Reviews:

It's not Apple's practices. It's a CULTURAL thing. We are talking about a country in which you have cowboy illegal coal mines popping up all over. We are talking about a country that sold fake eggs. Shells and all. We are talking about a country where people were collecting buckets of sewage used oil so that they can take it to the oil refinery and sell it to the refinery.
We are talking about a culture in which the entire goal is to make the quick buck rather than long term strategies. Even here where we have an abundance of Chinese people. One Chinese restaurant gets popular, very quickly you'll see at least 3-4 pop up imitating the original popular one and then they start playing the price game and aim to undercut everyone else until either they all close shop because they saturate the market so badly that the business is no longer viable, or that the prices have been dragged down so low that the businesses are no longer sustainable.Completed Logs & Reviews:

Disagree they are US based company selling to/inside the US they should abide by our standards period they are ONLY using Chinese labor to save money to boost profit margins Apple has been the target OF MANY Human rights violations through it's supply chains - as have pretty much every chip company that exists from worker deaths directly related to chemicals to deplorable working conditions even given the context of the country of origin.
If we inside of the US did not allow this to be the normal and cared about the quality of products perhaps we wouldn't be using the world as cheap labor - Latin America is a prime example since we are a HUGE factor in it's condition we played a direct role.
This is completely off topic and only relevant in how companies operate to save money it's just not worth continuing - if someone likes Apple by all means. It's not as if any alternative is being produced differently.-- Microwaves everyday crew --

I know of at least 5 companies that post on this board that make some items there.
In regards to China, it would be really cool if companies went over to actually see where their stuff is made. Here is a picture from one of our surprise audits of a factory that wanted to supply us certain amino acids. This is one of the largest factories in china for this specific ingredient:
That was back in December, went back to China in March and will pass back through in June again. This is what I mean by QC. Most companies will give you the name of an american broker when asked where do they buy their materials from. This is the difference in knowing your supply chain and not. Don't worry though, it was B1G1 in the store. Sometimes, there is a reason for that. This picture was third party verified if anyone was wondering.I used to own things.

Notice the materials sitting in the background. Those had been there for AWHILE. They tried to convince us they had just set them outside. This is during their winter. This is part of their water treatment, which is where a large portion of heavy metals comes from in materials. Most companies are stupid and have no idea where metal content comes from. When you audit a factory the first place you want to look at, is the water treatment plant.
This is a terrible example of part of one.I used to own things.
