misc decided im gonna go to college in the fall need advice
Long story short graduated highschool decided to skip college, recently realized that its not a good idea after getting severely depressed because of working at enterprise car rental washing cars and thinking ill be doing a poverty job like that until i retire.
I want to study biology because i have interest in it. If i study something like business or economics ill get bored and drop out asap.
My main question is are there enough jobs for biologist? Idc about making 100k year but can a biologist make 20$/hr? If i dont end up getting a job in the biology field right after college what other jobs can that degree land me?
Thanks!

Biology is a field where most of the jobs require a masters or PhD. The only jobs available for people with a bachelors degree is lab assistant and high school teacher. Both of them should net you a 40k salary, but lab assistant jobs are very difficult to get. What is it about biology that interests you?

i read a book called survival of the beautiful which was about biology and i really liked it. Ive always liked science in general and i cant see myself doing a job that requires a business or economic degree, pretty much cant see myself being like an accountant or one of those types of . I have an interest in science. Thanks for the reply

I've been in College for a year and I still find it to be a waste of time. So many people have graduated College and still find it impossible to find work. And the only reason I'm even enrolled is for the internships. Its not what you know anymore rather WHO you know. Knowledge no longer gets you anywhere unless you're in STEM field.

They find it hard to find work because they have a bachelors in some degree that's completely useless like psychology, philosophy and womans study. Just LOL at going into deep debt if you're not going to do a STEM major that will pay off for you in the end. Might as well not go to College in the first place and work at McDonalds. As for OP don't cram the day before an exam if you want a good GPA. Btw College is a great place to build up your connections.
