For those that will hate on my Korean car, just know that this is swapped with an Aston Marin V12 twin-turbo supercharged half-vtec 9.5 Liters engine and puts out nearly 1200 hp

Why hyundai is the GOAT car company since 2006
Now I know i will get a ton of hate for saying hyundai make good cars. I'm totally open to different opinions than mine, but I will judge invalid the opinion of everyone who tells me how much problem they have with their hyundai that are either 2005 or less models, or newer models that didn't get proper care (Oil change and mechanical check-up every 3k miles, letting the turbo heat and cool down, allowing the car to stop fully before going from reverse to first gear, never go above 3k rpm before the car is at a good temperature etc...)
Each and every one of their new cars are the best model you can get for the price in their categories in term of reliability and performance. (Key word here is PRICE, I know your 60k$ audi is better than my Hyundai). Some will say that they are not good looking cars. Well if you want a car only to look good don't buy yourself a car go buy yourself a purse because you're a b*tch. (In addition, Genesis Coupes are insanely good looking cars, so even people who care so much about their appearances can be pleased.)
for example
Hyundai accent:
2015 base manual model: 138 HP, 0-60 in 8 seconds flat. 12 000$ for a brand new one out of the lot.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec:
2015 manual model : 348 HP, 0-60 in 5 seconds flat. Starting at 27 000$ brand new
In the last years, my family and I have owned 6 Hyundais, we took proper care of them, and not a single one have had a mechanical problem. We only had to do normal maintenance like changing brake pads, buying new tires and such. I must add that I own a 2008 hyundai accent with 110 hp, and I consistently shift it a 6.5k rpm, go crazy on dirt roads, drift on snow, drift on rocky roads and never had a single problem in 2.5 years of beating it like that.
Give me your opinion and please don't hate for no reason. Saying a car is bad only because it has a hyundai logo is not a good excuse, it only means you care waaaaaaaay too much about what people think of you and need to reconsider your lifeLast edited by LifterSteve; 04-24-2015 at 11:22 AM.

Hyundais for life crew
Have an old 2003 Elantra that has caused almost no problems (knock on wood). Next car will either be a 2010 and newer genesis, elantra, accent or sonataBarely use FB, deleted Twitter, never had an Instagram crew

I think they have gone out of their zone of ''commuter cars'' recently. For example the Veloster Turbo has a nice acceleration, and it is really fast on tracks thanks to it's go-kart like handling.
They have also created a new veloster RM15 prototype, which is a 300hp RWD drifting beast, go look at it you will like it i'm sureLast edited by LifterSteve; 04-24-2015 at 11:20 AM.

hyundai is ok but i like the design of the newer kia better. peter schryer has done a great job turning kia around. i think they surpassed their parent company or will in the future. hyundais to me still look like the old man point a to point b bore machine.

Yes. Its at 40k miles now. 2013.
I take it in the dealership for the squeak squeak noises I hear coming from my rear suspension and they just tell me to go on my way.
My gas mileage dropped from 34 when it was brand new to 27 on a good week.
Last oil change was at 37k, my next one is at 42k
as soon as I am able to figure out these squeaks it'll be a great car again.i would take her temperature with my beef thermometer.

Bought myself an i30 a few months ago just for my daily 44 mile commute. Got it because it was cheap and had good warranty, but I've been really surprised with its overall quality. It's at its best on the motorway and overtaking in it is so much easier than my old Ford. Definitely an underrated car company. I don't see many on the roads here in the UK at all, except for the Police that is.

Well that's what happens when you get a German Automotive designer to work for hyundai/kia. 90's-mid 00's Hyundais were a joke and you can't doubt that. I wouldn't say they are reliable, but I'm also basing this off my friends pos 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. My mom was looking at hyundai sonatas and they were really about the same price as an equally equipped accord. Honda/Toyota will always have a better image and hold their value better. And the genesis coupe isn't really a good car compared to other cars in its price range. They look good and are probably becoming more reliable, but the brand will always be seen as the commuter car brand.
