Thanks! Yeah, those seated side laterals are brutal. So much harder than standing. That's some nice T-Bar rowing you've got going on there. Those always kill me.
Your Saturday sounds like my Sunday...
Thanks!
That's the idea Thank you!
Shaking things up and accountability are always good ideas in my book. Interested see what she has you doing.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

This day has just been stupid. Stupid testing session at 6:00am for work, stupid issues with accounts and horrible back office processing, stupid scheduling console, stupid employee survey, and stupid douche curling in the squat rack at my work gym. At least I got to leave at 2:30. That's about the only non-stupid thing about the day. That and left over chili for dinner. Lifting was ok. Numbers were good but I'm tired as hell. Waking up at 4:45am so you can leave the house by 5:20am so you can be at work with your computer up and running by 6:00 is not fun. Especially when sleep was not had until probably 11:30 But that's enough b!tching. On to the lifting...
Squat Day:
Supps:
Pre - 1 scoop Lemon Lime Pump Extrem
Intra - 1 scoop Mandarin Amino Tren, 1 scoop Gluta Blast
Post - PES Select Snickerdoodle protein and a nanner
Warm-up:
Hip and ankle mobility, high knees, ass kickers, bw squats, squat to stands, squat stretch, pacing the floor waiting for the douche nozzle curling in the SQUAT rack to GTFO.
Squats:
Warm-up Sets
Bar x 10
95 x 8
115 x 5
135 x 5
Working Sets
145 x 3
160 x 3
180 x 6 *These were pretty damn good. Last one was a little rough but I really, really, really wanted more than 5 and I made sure I got it.
Speed Deficit DL:
Warm-up Sets
95 x 5
115 x 5
Working Sets
135 x 3 x 3
145 x 3 x 3 *I think. I kind of lost count
BB Hip Thrusts:
135 x 10 x 3 *These felt really weird today for some reason. Plus Jackass the Curler was gaping at me the whole time. I'm used to people looking at me like I've lost my mind, or looking at me for a second or two, but he basically stood there with his mouth open for all three sets.
Overhead Squat/BB Calf Raise SS:
OH Squats
Bar x 8 x 2
50 x 8 x 2 *These are getting soooooo much better. The key for me is feeling like I'm pulling the bar apart, which helps me keep my arms back and chest up, and focusing on pressing me knees out.
Calf Raises
155 x 10 x 2
155 x 12
155 x 15
Weight SL Back Extensions/Calf Press SS:
Back Extensions
15lb Medicine Ball x 10 x 3/side
Calf Press
3pps x 10 x 3
And then I laid flat on my back on the floor for a good five minutes before foam rolling and stretching, which I did for about 15 minutes. My hips and hammies felt super tight today and so does my back, which I usually don't have an issue with. My biggest goal in life tonight is to be in bed asleep by 10:30 at the absolute latest.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Today was another clusterfuk of a day. People yelling at me because some things are illegal/impossible in brokerage accounts, people yelling at me because some incompetent sh!t of a rep told them something completely false, and then having to randomly move my desk in the middle of my shift and having the IT guys totally fuk up my entire system in the process. Although that part ended in me getting to leave two hours early and getting paid for those two hours so that's a win. The lifting was a win too. Went HAM on the OHP's, which I might regret tomorrow, but it was fun during the process. Also pretty sure I scared the hell out of some skinny hipster attempting to lift in jeans a beanie
OHP Day:
Supps:
Pre - 1 scoop Lemon Lime Pump Extrem, 1 scoop Lemon Lime Con-Crete
Intra - 1 scoop A10, 1 scoop Gluta Blast
Post - Peanut butter protein sludge made from Quest Peanut Butter Protein and PB2 with a banana mashed up in it.
Warm-up:
Arm circles, band pull aparts, band pull-overs, rotator cuff stuff, t-spine mobility
OHP:
Warm-up Sets
Bar x 10
50 x 8
Working Sets
55 x 3
60 x 3
65 x 8 *Rep PR. Felt good so I did another set
65 x 7 *Tried for 8 but couldn't get it without cheating with my legs
BOR:
Warm-up Sets
Bar x 8
65 x 8
85 x 8
Working Sets
95 x 8
105 x 8 x 2
Speed Bench:
Warm-up Sets
Bar x 8
55 x 5
Working Sets
65 x 3 x 2
70 x 3 x 2
75 x 3 x 2
80 x 3 x 2
Seated DB Side Lateral Raises/Pull-ups SS:
Raises
12.5 x 10 x 3 *These are hard. Really hard. But... Shoulder and trap veins for days This is what scared the underfed hipster attempting hammer curls on the bench next to me. I don't think he'd ever seen a girl that lifts. He's probably never seen a dude that lifts. At least he was trying to lift, which is more than can probably be said for his hipster friends who were probably at some dive bar drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon and drowning in fake angst.
Pull-ups
BW x 8
BW x 8
BW x 7
Incline DB Bench/Chest Supported Row SS:
Bench
30s x 8
35s x 8 x 3
Rows
30s x 8
35s x 8 x 3
DB Upright Row/BB Shrug SS:
Rows
20s x 10 x 3
Shrugs 115 x 10 x 3
So thank you asshat customers and incompetent colleagues for helping me have a totally kickass workout. Jerks.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Deadlift Day today. Did things a little different today because I was short on time but still wanted an ass-kicking. My work gym has been posting WOD challenges lately so I did my deadlifts and yesterday's challenge. It totally kicked my ass. Between the pull-ups in my workout yesterday and the ones in this WOD today, I've done about a million pull-ups. My lats and bi's are toast. So here's the madness:
DL Day:
Supps:
Pre - 1 scoop Lemon Lime Pump Extrem, 1 scoop Lemon Lime Con-Crete = Magic
Intra - 1 scoop Mandarin Amino-Tren, 1 scoop Mandarin Gluta Blast
Post - Coco Wheats, peanut butter protein, pb2 and cocoa powder. Gimme da carbs!!!
Warm-up:
Hip and ankle mobility, high knees, ass kickers, bw squats, squat to stands, squat stretch holds
DL's:
Warm-up Sets (SLDL]
Bar x 10
65 x 10
95 x 8
Warm-up Sets (Sumo)
115 x 5
135 x 5
Working Sets (Sumo)
145 x 3
160 x 3
175 x 10
WOD:
10 Min. AMRAP
50 DB Lunges @20lb dbs
40 Wall Balls @ 14lb Med Ball
30 Goblet Squats @35lb KB
20 Pull-ups
10 Push-ups
*Got through it 1 full time and through 5 pull-ups of the second round. Then I decided I had to finish it off, which took me another 2 minutes and 35 seconds. Was completely gassed.
Core Work:
Toes to Bar - 3 sets of 10 *My hands are totally destroyed now
Plank - 1 minute
3 Rounds of:
10 Straight Leg Sit-Ups
10 Double Leg Lifts
10 Oblique Twists/side *Lying on the floor on my back with my arms out to sides, knees bent. Upper back and shoulders stay on the floor, knees twist from side to side. Great for the obliques and great for mobility too.
Plank - 1 minute
Then I spent a good 15 minutes stretching and rolling because I was procrastinating. We're having people over tomorrow for a barbeque and our house looks like a bomb went off so we've had a mad cleaning spree. Anthony dusted and swept the living room and our bedroom. I just got done scrubbing the kitchen within an inch of it's life and scrubbing our bathroom floor. The kidlet has been put to work scrubbing his own bathroom, which is repulsive, and doing yard work. I think I'm going to get him to clean the downstairs bathroom too because I still have to take a shower and go to the grocery store. I've decided we're eating out for dinner because I don't feel like making a mess in my nice clean kitchen. Plus if I'll be spending half the day cooking tomorrow too.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Friday and Saturday were absolutely awful at work. Would have been nice to take out my aggressions at the gym but I worked 12 hour days and I just couldn't motivate myself. I'm glad you were able to use that energy for a good workout.
Off Sunday and Monday and looking forward to being off.
If no one is in the gym, I confess to doing curls in the squat rack . Two guys were doing curls in the squat racks today. I found it amusing. The power rack was open so not a big deal.

I'm starting with the trainer tomorrow. Meeting weekly for training. Tomorrow will be leg day. Weekly weigh-ins, every two week measurements and caliper body fat testing. Looking forward to re-focusing. Kind of mad at myself for not being able to self motivate but sometimes you just need a push. Diet will need to be tightened up.My Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140511571

The only thing worse are those who do TRX exercises is the power rack. Get that thing out of there!
Thank you!
First day with the trainer. We did legs. I won't post the workout but we used lots of different foot positions. Really focused on engaging the muscle. Not easy for me since I have a bit of difficulty with sensation.
We did measurements. My weight at home as 134.2 lbs which surprised me since I was guessing eleventy-thousand . Gym weight was 136.2. The plan is to wear the exact same outfit each session. Nutrition is all on me. We're going to in-laws for cook-out this afternoon plus watching Black Hawks game tonight. Will make good choices today and then will start being strict with weighing/counting.
Had to wait to drink my Pump Extrem untIl measurements were done then slammed it down. The energy was good.My Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140511571

Well if there's a rack open it doesn't enrage me as much. But both of the gyms I go to now only have one rack, however, they both have plenty of other barbells floating around...
Lately I'm also seeing people doing what I think they think are power cleans from the hang position. That drives me nuts too. For one thing whatever they are doing is not what they think they are doing and is a torn elbow ligament and/or serious back injury waiting to happen. And also... See above comment
Thanks!
100% agree on the TRX thing hanging on the rack. WTF is that? I saw a trainer doing that at my work gym a couple of weeks ago. I felt sorry for the poor dude she had strung up in the thing. He'll probably never step foot in a gym again...
Sounds like a good first meeting with the trainer. Sometimes it helps to have someone else do the thinking for you and to be accountable to. Not to mention to push you outside of your comfort zone. I had a trainer a couple of years ago when I first started lifting (thank God she was a good one) and she pushed me to try weight/lifts I never thought I was capable of. I think without her I would have taken me a lot longer to stop dicking around and start picking up heavy things.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Playing hookie from work today since I spent the whole weekend running around all town and barely got to sit down and because my sinuses are killing me. I feel like I've been kicked in the face by a mule. I decided staying home would be in my best interest personally and in the best interest of my employment status because the pain in my face means I have no patience at all for jackassery today. Someone would come through the phone screaming at me because either they did something stupid and lost a bunch of money or someone told them something completely wrong and now they can't do something they thought they could do, and I would tell them to STFU. Not very nice at all, precious...
I also realized I didn't log my lifting from Sunday but it wasn't really anything special. Just some accessory stuff. Got in and got out in half an hour and then spent the rest of the day running from grocery store to liquor store to grocery store and cooking. And eating. And attempting to play cornhole. Anything that involves depth perception is a bad idea for me. Especially when there's been beer beforehand The food was great though. No pics because it was demolished pretty much as soon as it was set on the table. One thing I've learned living with my boyfriend when his three kids around is that if you don't get your food and eat it fast, there's a good chance you won't get to eat. They're like vacuums. Any food with in a two mile radius gets sucked in and disappears before you can bat an eye lash.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Secret mission, perhaps?
Yes, you are lucky to have the 17.5 Dumbbells.I bought some plate mates. They are 1.25 lbs and 2.5 lbs. the small ones work well but those larger ones don't want to stay put. Would be so nice if my gym had Dumbbells (why is autocorrect capitalizing that word? Weird) that were 11,12,13, etc up to 20.
My daughter was at the gym and asked me to spot her on bench. Would have been nice to have a bar other than 45 lbs. She was having a bit of trouble but she's trying. My Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140511571

Feeling good. Eating is now under control, weight is on a nice downward trend. I don't want to go back to daily weighing so I'm going to limit myself to every other day. I know once a week is generally recommended but I'd rather do it this way. Sticking with 1500 cals for now. I'm hungry but not ravenous.
Looky what showed up on my doorstep:
I really like the Amino-Tren intra-workout. My doc has me taking 5,000 of Vit D. I've heard turmeric is good for my condition. I also saw a study that large doses of biotin have showed promising results. We'll see...My Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140511571
