    L-Carnitine & Yohimbine

What are your opinions on these supplements?
    Are they worth buying?

I'm currently supplementing with Whey, Creatine, & Beta-Alanine. Would these 2 make a good addition?

edit: Is there a difference if the product is Yohimbe or Yohimbine

    L-Carnitine is a waste.

Yohimbine is amazing if you can handle it.

What do you mean by handle? There must be strong side effects?

Yohimbine effects some people differently with negative side effects, even at very low dosages for some.

Would start low with Yohimbine HCL at 2.5-3mg and simply add more as your tolerance allows. My tolerance for Yohimbine is pretty strong and do not experience side effects I use 15mg or so at a time when I am using Yohimbine and you would want to take it either fasted or couple hours after eating at least.

    http://examine.com/supplements/Yohimbine/

Some additional info should check out

Yohimbe is generic while Yohimbine is the extract would go with Yohimbine over Yohimbe you will be using far less of it and lower chance of side effects.

    Absolutely would not take

Yohimbine can cause extreme anxiety in individuals predisposed to anxiety. Yohimbine may trigger manic psychosis or suicidal episodes in people with bipolar disorder.
Yohimbine can interact with a large amount of neurological medications and should not be used in conjunction with these medication without consultation with a doctor

A lot of risk in this case for little reward

Your weight loss is primarily going to come from a energy deficit period, I would not risk it.

try out target-A2 by analyzed supplements, instead of your typical yohimbine product if you have concerns. assuming youre healthy and theres no major concerns. Rauwolscine tends to be more tolerable in general, with less anxiety sides.

Great info right here but also saw you mentioned you hve anxiety issues so if have to say don't use y-hcl without consulting your doctor.

a little more. its not going to break the bank. although im not a dr, so if you do have srs issues with anxiety i would avoid stimulants like this in general or consult with a dr before taking any of this.

nothing beats the free.99 deal on cardio and diet restriction. which is your best bet if you have any health issues.

Only way you know if something effects you is try it and start off small. I actually did that with yohimbe and haven't had any major noticeable side effects. Remember everyone reacts differently.

You can take a peak at non stim fat burners, but in all honesty I would only find them useful if they curb appetite. I would just make sure you got the more cals going out vs. in.

Well, in conjunction with Choline or carbs, it isn't.

Explain please. Never read or heard about that and I am referencing L-Carnitine for fat loss as OP was asking. I know the benefits of ALCAR and LCLT for recovery, focus etc.

I came back to this thread too, because I did remember some negative sides from yohimbe. You get nervous/jittery, a warm feeling, headache, more rapid heartbeat. That's why I'm not really a fan of it & I usually try to avoid it. I will also say that taking it with a big meal should diminish some of the sides.

L-Carn for weight loss would be wasting your money IMO, however...for recovery and perhaps cognitive, yes.
As far as Y....great for weight loss, but does have some adverse effects on some individuals. If you already suffer from anxiety, I'd stay clear of it. Otherwise start out low dose and assess.

Not really a good study to reference L-Carnitine for fat loss. Low intensity exercise was introduced the same time as the Carnitine/Choline combo. Weight was maintained versus lost.

I was always lead to believe, that L-Carnintine helped shift fat cells from storage in to muscle to be used as energy, is that not correct?

When is the best time to take it?

Drop the L-Carnitine. As far as Yohimbine, Id stick to 30mg/day. You can split your dosage

L carnatine L tartrate is supposed to do exactly that...there are several diff types of L carnatine....take 1 gram 2 to 3 times per day preferably 30 min before meals (straight off the label) ;-)

Man you have no idea what you're talking about. Ever. Read the dam threads all the way through. He should NOT be taking Yohimbe.
