How do the taxes work where you ameribrahs live? Having to pay 14,000... Jesus I'd be so fuking pissed. I had to pay 300$ one year and I get my work to take an extra 20 bucks a week off my cheque.

the fact citizens are discouraged from producing more for the economy (due to higher taxes) is mind blowing.

This problem will get sorted out, and in 300 years people will look back on this time of passing thievery and just laugh.

yes, but if the withholding calculation isn't accurate then you either owe or get a refund. or if you own a business/self-employed and don't estimate your payments correctly.

I owed quite a bit. Variable income that is hard to predict.

I take 3 exemptions. I came out at $1,050 due, against a total federal income tax liability of about $18,000. More or less a perfect landing.

You paid $10,000 for Medicare, Social Security.
You paid $10,000 to NASA for space exploration.
You paid $10,000 to eventual receive some sort of Government assistance... housing credit? etc..
