The Witcher 3 wins 5 Golden Joystick awards inc Ultimate Game of the Year




The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt has picked up an amazing five Golden Joystick awards, the awards are given out by GamesRadar and this will be the 33rd one that has taken place.

The game picked up awards for all the five categories that they were nominated for

Best Visual Design
Best Gaming Moment
Studio of the Year
Ultimate Game of the Year

Previous winners of the Ultimate game of the year include Dark Souls II (2014) Grand Theft Auto (2013) and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2012)

Just finished the expansion, it was ****ing amazing. Such a good quest line.

GOTY, one of the best games I've ever played, in 20 years I'll still look back at it with crazy nostalgia. Even read all of the books too, the books are ****ing fantastic. Really gives you a lot of back story and makes you appreciate the game much more since pretty much all of the major book characters are in the game, and the ones that aren't are Gwent cards/characters.

In fact, TW3 pulled me in so much, I bought The Last Wish. Once the original (Sword of Destiny) is finished being translated and released, I am buying that. I love that they are written as short stories, and it finally closed those holes in the story of how he met and fell in love with Yennefer.

It's been translated and released since May. The only books that haven't been translated are the last two, but there's great free translations of them on Reddit(reads just like the official translations).

Well i recently finished the main story, i found the game enjoyable even though the story wasn't as epic in proportion to the sheer size of the game.
My major complaint is the lack of level scaling. Not knowing what awaited me while in velen i decided to explore as much as possible before even getting to Novigrad and skellige only to find out that i was way over leveled, most of the content in skellige was now trivial which was a damn shame because it was a more interesting setting than velen.
The game has way too much content that cannot keep up with the leveling system which makes alot of it obsolete because you're over leveled.

Also a complaint about the itemization, loot starts off way too powerful and relics are a dime a dozen, no sense of accomplishment in getting new items since everything is plentiful and powerful from the get go

the xpac story line is pretty amazing. If you havent played it yet, its worth the money. The 9-10 hours of game play feels like 30 due to how in depth it feels

I love the Fallout series and I will be getting FO4 when it drops but I don't think it will beat Witcher.

Gah, I need to get on finishing the expansion. I'm at the Von Everich mansion part but on my vacation I got sidetracked by the release of WWE 2k16. need to finish it up before FO4 drops on the 10th.

Almost done with a full playthrough finally. I'm gonna go ahead and conclude that this may be the greatest game ever made, period. What you pay for when you buy this game is equivalent to 3 (or more) full games worth of length, substance, and shear size. Fallout 4 has a big, big competitor.

Stepped away from the game for a couple months just before recruiting for the fight against the wild hunt. Wow, they added and changed a lot! Made me want to pick back up and explore again and experience the new content and features.

I am trying to complete all the Gwent games and get all of the cards. Unfortunately, I missed a couple at the beginning of the game, so don't think it's possible for me to collect them all now

depends on how gud your laptop GPU is

PS4 is locked at 30fps and 1080p. if u have the PC hardware to run it, i highly recommend that over PS4

As mentioned, depends on what rig you have. Witcher 3 is pretty intense on the entire system, not just the GPU.

The official date was supposed to be Dec 1 for paperback and audio CD. Where did you find a copy?

*Edit* I am in the US, remember. All US places are saying dec 1st, but I did see where the UK had it available in May. Still not sure how to get it though. Not paying $20+ in shipping costs for a $12 book for a month early.

fuk brahs this game is the one to end them all. I beat it a couple of months ago and went into a serious depression after. I wanna get the expansion but fuk man I don't wanna get depressed after I beat it again man that feeling sucks so bad. No its not

Id say your about 90% of the way through the main story line.

I believe I was 34 when finished the game. I had it on death march though. Difficulty setting will determine if 25 is high enough though. I would personally get to 30 if you have enough side quests that are still green, you should have a ton at 25
