Depends on where you're talking about in North Carolina and where the Brits are from? We have crap bits and good bits. I live in London whic if you want a city...is as good as it gets I guess. Except the weather is dreary, kind of like Portland. Would like to live in many places in the US, but I'd take pretty much anywhere in the UK over say nowhere town like Gary, Indiana.

Gotta agree about the price, always comparing prices to you Americans and almost EVERYTHING is cheaper. Weather is indeed chit but I actually like the grey weather. People are loud in chit areas, move out of them if you don't like it. Same thing with the streets, area where I live feels extremely safe.

Also you get a hell of a lot in those taxes, all dat free medical care which despite all the hate it gets is actually one of the best things in the UK.

To answer the OP, it's not shyt, it just depends where you live really like any other country and I actually think it's a great country

It's a toilet, and thats being polite. But it wasn't always.It has got to this state in a short space in time,in historical terms. The turning point for me was in 1997 when the labour party took over.Tony Blair should be hung for treason, and ironically who got rid of the punishment of hanging for high treason, hmmmm .
