Welcome to the Raw Deadlift Competition of 2015. Like always this competition starts as soon as I open this thread for posting and this one will end Saturday, July 18th, 2015 at exactly 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
With the time line being established let's get into the boring details.
The Rules:
1. All Forum Rules must be followed.
2. Do not judge anyone else's entry for me. If I have any issues judging the entries made I trust two, and only two, people on this site to help me out. And if your name isn't in green and spelled out as "Iceman1800" or "Isaku900", then you are not one of them
3. Keep it classy in here and help encourage people that are competing. Offer deadlifting advice or tips as you feel the need, but do not bash or flame any other user in this thread.
4. Have fun and remember to rep the Supplement Reps. They make these competitions a lot better for everyone.
The Lift:
1. Deadlift suits, wrist straps, or lifting briefs are not allowed. Belts, chalk, and any raw grip you wish to use is good.
2. The barbell must start off as deadweight on the ground prior to lifting it.
3. Bend down, grab the bar, and pull until knees, hips, and traps have completely locked out the lift.
4. DO NOT HITCH THE BAR OR YOU LIFT IS DISQUALIFIED
5. After you have locked it out I do not care what you do with. You can drop it from lockout height or you can gently set the thing on the ground. Up to you but please do not injure yourself and make sure before you drop the bar that you are fully locked out.
The Entry
1. Weigh in must be done the same day you lift. It does not have to be done all at the same time. If you wish to weigh in the morning of the lift and lift in the afternoon, I do not care as long as you make sure both are done with the verification paper.
2. The Verification Paper: Your Username, the name of this competition(can be shortened to "BB.com Deadlift Comp), and the date of your lift.
3. When to show me the Verification Paper: During your weigh in video and during your lifting video. It can be done before or after you show your weight or lift but make sure that if you have two separate videos(eve if you combine it into one). If you do the weigh in and lift all in the same shot then you only need to show it once during the video. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SCREW THIS UP!!!! I have had to disqual some big damn lifts in the past because of this. Do not be one of those statistics please.
4. Show me the weight lifted. You do not have to pull every plate off the bar to show me but if I can not tell what you lifted then I can not count it. This is especially important if you use bumper plates since they are all sorts of weird.
5. I do not mind if you use Kilograms or Pounds. But if you start using Stones I am going to neg you
6. If your video is a meet lift, then you don't need all of this. Just post the video and then me and you will work out who you are through PM and I will verify it that way. This way you don't have to post up your name but you will still get credit for this comp as well as your meet. Usually a lifters card or the official results are sufficient.
7. You can put in as many entries as you want and you can switch weight classes as many times as you feel like. BUT, only ONE ENTRY will count at a time. So if you are currently on the leaderboard and you decide to drop weight classes, be careful, cause once you post your new video, the previous entry is no longer valid.
8. It must be a video entry. I don't care if you pulled 1100 pounds in front of the Pope and President Obama and they BOTH post in here that you did it, with no video, you get no credit
The Video:
1. The video must be posted from a Youtube account. The reason for this is simple: It views faster, more reliably, and formatting it is easier on me.
2. In your video, make sure the camera angle allows me to see your knees, hips, and traps at lockout. If your head is out of view on lockout I don't care, but I want to be able to see the entire lockout.
3. Whatever scale you use, please make sure that the weight is visible for a couple of seconds at least. I hate having to pause it at that split second interval to see the whole thing.
4. The only weigh in numbers that matter are the first three digits if you weigh 100+ pounds. so if you weigh 198.9 pounds you are in the 198 Class, if you weigh 199 pounds, you are in the 220 class
5. ANY TIE IN WEIGHT LIFTED GOES TO THE FIRST PERSON TO PUT THE ENTRY IN. Even if you are at the bottom of your weight class and the first guy is at the top of your weight class. Wilks only applies to the Overall Winners. I do this to encourage people to put their video in sooner rather than the last 2 hours of the competition
As always these rules are subject to being edited at any time something else comes to my attention. Remember, lifters, keep it classy and show me how strong you are!
A Favor to the Classiest Moderator Alive: Please put in a review for the supplements you win in the Store or the Review Section of the Supplement Forum. This is not mandatory but it makes it much easier to get more prizes if the supplement companies see more feedback for the stuff they put up for the winners.
For those of you wishing to see how the last one turned out, here is the first deadlift competition thread and the leaderboards for it:

Do eeet! I expect it in by Monday
Here is 1/2 the people I trust to judge any entry in this thread. So if this guy ^^^ says your good, you are good. If he tells you that your lift sucks....
I was gonna post the Magnusson one as the pic in the OP, but all the images I found of him were small as hell. Plus a 136 pound man pull 600+ is impressive enough to represent this competition
If you get babyslayer to compete I will rep you even if you don't compete yourself. I sent him and Pete PMs last time but neither responded so I don't think these competitions mean very much to either of them lol.You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

I'd like to submit a formal complaint regarding weight classes. At 157lbs Being in a weight class with a 165lber puts me at a competitive disadvantage. Furthermore who is policing the weight classes and how can you guarantee a 169lb person will not submit as a 165lber?

http://www.southernpowerlifting.com/openclass.php
this is the SPF's weight classes. Almost every other powerlifting federation I have seen are very similar in weight classes. Since my competition is on one of the powerlifting lifts and the rules are based on powerlifting rules(which are also the same across most, if not all, federations) I have stuck as close to the weight classes as possible.
There is a lot of trust involved in this but being an online competition there is really nothing I can do to stop someone if they want to cheat. Sorry if this doesn't make you happy but from what I have noticed in the last 5 competitions I have held the winners of these competitions do not need to cheat to win. And I have not yet had it brought to my attention that someone has cheated. You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

I have two meets between now and the end of this, anticipating to be in two different weight classes (165 Apr 18th, 148 Jun 20th). How will official meet weight/names/verification work out with vid proof - Just get vid of lifter card when done? I doubt I will be pulling heavy singles outside the meets during this timeframe.
And 80s better GTFIH, that DL mistress that she is!Gym PRs:
SQ: 360 x 1, BP: 165 x 1, DL: 330 x 2, OHP: 110 x 2
Best meet lifts (raw w/wraps):
SQ: 365, BP: 155, DL: 350, Elite total of 870 @165
Closest thing to a log, but better cause it's vids! = www.youtube.com/user/birdiefu

I think he was referring to cheating around the videos. such as cutting to below 165(through water cutting and short term starvation lol) and then bulking back up to 169 or more the day of their pull. This kind of cheating would only work so well since if you come in looking like you weight 200 pounds but claim you weigh 160 I am gonnna be a skeptical hippo
Sumo deadlifts are good.
I am so glad you brought this up lol. I need to add this into the Entry rules. If you have a powerlifting meet video, then you can submit that as a stand alone vid. You can PM me proof that it is you(either through lifter card or official meet results) and nothing else will be required.
Basically a powerlifting meet takes care of all the work for me lol. If the meet judges determine your lift and weigh in as good in real life then I dont need to do chit but put your video in the right spot on the leaderboard
But you can only be in ONE weight class. You can submit as many entries as you feel like but the last one posted is the one that counts. So be careful if you switch weight classes cause once you post up a new vid, there is no take backsiesYou would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

Welcome to Ergogenix Bossman ERGOGENIX(he real original ) and his lead rep wishiwasdivin. They are supporting the 1st class winners in the weight classes with a tub of ErgoBlast. Although I still love the ErgoPump the best, the Blast is definitely a good replacement for it!You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.
