Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Just wanted to say the Rogue Euro bar is phenomenal. The knurl is moderate, with the center knurl being slightly milder than the rest of the bar. I much prefer the moderate knurl over the sharp knurl on the Eleiko Sport Training bar I owned. Spin is on par with the Eleiko (both spin forever, basically). I'm under-qualified to talk about flex and whatnot, but it feels worlds better than a stiff 29mm bar when doing cleans & snatches. Even at lighter weights (95-155 lbs.), it feels wonderful in use. Fit/finish are excellent as well. I think I may actually keep this bar
Strangely enough, I wrote a 5 star review on Rogue's site, it posted, and then they took it down. Weird. Maybe it was b/c I suggested a milder (ghost) center knurl? So does Rogue remove reviews? Yes. They do. Even 5 Star ones.. lol.Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

It's the perfect rack for my needs. I wanted a rack with plate storage that would leave space outside the rack(gym is 11'x11' room) and clear a 94'' ceiling. It makes my gym feel much bigger than it would with a full rack. It's held up well for the year I've had it. I'm planning to upgrade the rear uprights to 92'' ones and adding a crossbar and two of rogue's vertical bar holders. That will eliminate my floor storage rack and free up more space.

Why won't you be able to fit the half rack with 8' ceilings? Your ceiling is 96" and the HR-2 is 92". i have one with 8' ceilings, no problem at all...I did mount my pullup bar a few inches lower. You can also get a half rack with two 70" post instead of a 92" and a 70", but you shouldn't need to do that with your ceiling height, just be mindful of your platform height.

You will be fine, tall people have issues with lowering the pull-up bar but us short guys are better off doing it. Don't have to jump as far either. I'm about your size and lowered my bar when my rack had about 1-2" of clearance above the post. I have the RML-390F but now I use a custom front porch from Mech6 for my multigrip bar. You will have plenty of clearance for your head.
The holes for the uprights are 1" from the top to 13" down, every 2" on center. The skinny pull-up bar has 4" bolt spacing. 7 holes with 5 adjustment options, the lowest is at my first knuckle when reaching up in my flip flops. The bar can be moved in 2" increments.Last edited by Sdca7718; 07-26-2016 at 09:13 PM.
