Shawn Rhoden is so boring to listen to... so are most bodybuilders for that matter.

He speaks in the most monotonous voice I've ever heard and displays no enthusiasm whatsoever for what he's doing. I can't imagine the IFBB ever having someone like that represent the organisation. I've watched a number of his interviews and not once does he came across as passionate or excited about the sport of bodybuilding. Everything just sounds like a grind for him.

I've noticed this with a lot of bodybuilders; just think how dull Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman were. There's only a few that are interesting to listen to. I used to like Kai but now he's just phucking annoying to listen to because he never just gives a straight answer and instead insists on all this bullchit pseudo-intellectual crap.

Phil Heath and Dennis Wolf are probably the only entertaining people to listen to.

Not everybody is charismatic. It's a shame but what can you do? Force them to take speech classes? Plenty of bodybuilders like evan, wolf, delarosa are not boring

No but their personalities play a large part of it. Even on stage Rhoden is too laid back. You have to look like you want it.

I do agree that the personalities are important but they shouldn't be decisive.What are we talking here, I'm sure even the face aesthetics matter to a certain extent.
A rather good looking face and charisma can make a bodybuilder more 'acceptable' though..

Regardless of his personality, Rhoden has in my eyes the best physique in the IFBB Open division. Him or Cedric.
I lean towards Rhoden purely because he nails his conditioning every time.

To be honest, it's obviously not how he actually is. He obviously has a passion for it as he is a bodybuilder. A Mr Olympia competitor.
if you didn't enjoy it, you wouldn't be doing it.
That's in a way how he was made and comes across

I met Shawn at the Arnold Classic in Australia....I noticed this as well...he seemed disinterested lol I thought he was just tired of talking to ppl all day...must just be his personality...nothing wrong with that
