Its a scam. We tend to zone in and out of the conversation thinking about a hobby, boobs, something on the TV...a hangnail, we contribute maybe 10 words. Some women are trained in the dark arts of recognizing the zone out and use it to their advantage saying that we said stuff we never said simply because they know that we dont remember saying it. It gets to you because then you think I would say something like that and she's got the other 10 words from that conversation, maybe I did say that. WTF was I thinking?

She came home in some kind of a foul mood while I was on the couch watching Television. 53 minutes into my show and while she was home for 50 of them she waits until the very end to come plop down next to me whining about some crap that I cared about enough only to catch every other word in case it came up at dinner or up a year from now. I always lose this game. Some guy at work named Jack..some documents lost by FEDEX for the 15th time, undercut her at a meeting today, something about dinner, is she crying?...WTF? I'll just nod at her and throw her the D later for some comfort. She should be grateful. 3 years later we're about to close on the house and shes flipping out about how we shouldn't use FEDEX to send the documents over to the mortgage company because they always screw up and somehow this is my fault because I never listen.

I have a serious hate for bobby pins. Both of my girls used to leave them all over the house. Bobby pins on the counters, kitchen table, end tables, coffee tables, sinks, shower, down the drains, etc...

I'd always get the, "Mom I don't have any more bobby pins!"
