The only game I enjoy playing at the moment (FIFA 15) gets me so angry that it's almost not worth playing, games that don't anger me don't entertain me either..
I've got a week off work at the moment and I kind of miss really getting into a video game

haven't really geeked out over video games since like early high school, and I kinda miss the feeling tbh. I've got plenty of time/money these days, but can't really get into it like I used to.
I pretend to be a duck - I'm not.
You don't need a million dollars to do nothin', man. Take a look at my cousin. He's broke - don't do sh*t.

I feel worse when I play games these days. Also I played a 3DS for a couple of days and actually had a smile on my face, Mario Kart 7 and a couple of others.
Last time I enjoyed a game was The Last of Us on PS3 and that was the first in a while.
I'm tempted to sell PS4 to avoid playing when Im bored but I intend to play certain games in the future like TLOU2, MGS5 and Uncharted 4. Not sure what to do.

I started stepping away from video games when I was 14/15 and pretty much totally fell away when I got a job at 16. We do own a Wii and play it occasionally in spurts that last a few weeks once or twice a year.
It's a great decision. Literally almost anything else you can do would be better... even sleeping.O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebus, who was once handsome and tall as you.

I only single player game, which works pretty well. Playing Final Fantasy Type-0 at the moment. Last game I played before it was GTAV last November.
I beat the games and then shelve them. After being Type-0 I probably won't play another game until Arkham Knight in June.*Getting aesthetic is just a hobby crew*
*Still pretty shredded though crew*

Never going to quit gaming. I'm 24 years old turning 25 this june. It is a good way to unwind and have fun. It's the same entertainment for me as watching movies and tv shows which I do. Escape from life and play and watch movies etc.
Just keep it moderate, bruh. Dont spend hours playing a game. Play for like half an hour or an hour. It doesn't need to be your priority. Make other things your priority and if you're bored and want the time to go quicker, quickly switch on the xbox one or ps4.
What you can do is stop playing and sort out your stuff and then bring gaming back into it slowly. Just to break out of the habit.
Right now I'm playing GTA V again on ps4. Played some heists too. Good fun. I will admit I no longer play that many games. Only the great games that are worth investing time.
far cry 4, playing GTA V now. I'll get batman arkham knight in June. Witcher 3 and then maybe halo 5 this year. That's probably the only games I'm gonna play. Can't see myself playing anything else.I always tell the truth...even when I lie.

What's funny is I bet most of the people itt who say they quit cause it's a waste of time or they have better things to do, just fill that time with other non productive things, like miscing for example
If you actually do then good for you, but even then it's a hobby and just entertainment. No different than watching a TV, miscing, reading, etc. Moderation is good for you.Last edited by Deezenutz; 03-27-2015 at 04:45 AM.

Through highschool and undergrad I was addicted to video games.
CAL M CS:S Team
MMOs out the ass (Shadowbane brahs in the house?)
WC3 TFT
Those were the main culprits.
First year out of college I tried to keep playing, but just couldn't keep the interest. After spending 8 hours a day at a desk you just have no desire to spend 4 hours playing video games every day afterwards.
Nowadays I barely play anything. If I play it will be a few games of Dota 2.
Sports/Socializing is more rewarding.

i take breaks. but my schedule is as follows
530 wake,
600 arrive at work
330 is sometimes 430 leave
500 get to gym
700 get home from gym
800 finish cooking.
830 finish eating.
830-945 or 10 wow
1030 bed.
do it again.
so that little bit im playing is not much more then a distraction. but if your playing 12 hrs a day, every day. yea you need to take a break.
but im not your dad, brother or anyone important. so its just an opinion.
youll make it , chose what you think is right.

33 years old and still playing, i fear the day my kids take away my games and won't let me play.
The moments of my life in which I've grown had to do with failures; the moments of my life when I've gotten worse, had to do with success. Success is deforming, relax, deceives, makes us worse, we fall in love too much of ourselves; failure is the opposite, it's formative, makes us strong, brings us closer to our convictions, make us consistent.
