Hey brahs, looking to go on a Bible-reading binge. Outside of the four gospels I don't think I've ever sat down to read any of the other books, only being aware of their contents through mass and classes. What's a good place to start?

IF :
- Demons can manifest into our world and/or possess humans
- Human Luciferians and their kin support these demons and their activities
- and if these humans have a dark room in their Satanic household/temple somewhere
- and if this dark room is full of Computers with internet access
Couldn't the demons then use the computer's themselves and post content online, via human possessions/trance or through straight up manifestation?
If all that could happen..... if you combine that ability with the fact that demons are highly intelligent and ancient beings.... what damage could they do to human culture by posting stuff online, comments, blogs, etc...? People would unknowingly be speaking/arguing with them?
Weird thought of the day. But it's not entirely impossible, knowing how spiritual warfare works."Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." - Psalm 23

I know youre just joking but I dont want to be dragged in the fighting. My post has nothing to do with posters here on bb.com
I was thinking more along the lines of demonic worship, pro-sinner stuff online that pushes agendas like the LGBT stuff, satanic philosophies etc."Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." - Psalm 23

Lol you sound like Hillary Clinton with "Delete you account". Strong company you keep.
I didn't realize that I was speaking to God here though; can you give me the specific time and place that he bestowed upon you the ability to say who is and who is not a Christian?Pureblood

I think he is simply stating that it seems as though you lack the fruit of the Spirit. If you lack the fruit of the Spirit, you lack the Spirit. If you lack the Spirit... Well, you see where this is going. Obviously, he (or anyone else aside from God) doesn't have the final say, but your behavior on this forum would make most bet against you.

When Leonard Ravenhill famously said, "Everything outside of Christ is rubbish"....... boy oh boy...... he wasn't joking.
Star Wars' YODA was inspired by a real demon.
Yoda, aka Mephistopheles.... was conjured up by occultists for centuries, and was even written about in a 700 year old manuscript. He was known to teach "wisdom"
..................................
I knew a little about STAR WARS being occult inspired years ago. I knew that George Lucas was into that stuff. Luke SKYWALKER..... Luke is written to be symbolic of the ancient egyptian god Horus.... the son who gets revenge and fixes the wrongs of the past. And the ancient egyptians used to tell time by looking at the Sun moving across the sky, and depending on the position of the Sun in the sky, they say "Horus of the 1st step" ...... "2nd step", "3rd step" ........ because they said Horus was walking across the Sky. SKYWALKER. Which by the way, we use the word "Hours"/Horus to tell time.
Anyway.... I can still enjoy the movies I guess..... but as a Christian, I don't know if I should be supporting the spreading of occult teachings."Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." - Psalm 23

06-30-2016, 11:51 AM #5484To share their faith, citizens must secure a government permit through a registered religious organization, and they cannot evangelize anywhere besides churches and other religious sites. The restrictions even apply to activity in private residences and online....
...the law appears to target religious groups outside the Russian Orthodox church. Because it defines missionary activities as religious practices to spread a faith beyond its members, “if that is interpreted as the Moscow Patriarchate is likely to, it will mean the Orthodox Church can go after ethnic Russians but that no other church will be allowed to,” according to Frank Goble, an expert on religious and ethnic issues in the region."An injury to one, is an injury to all. Book of Wisdom Chapter 1
Exhortation to Righteousness, the Key to Life
1
Love righteousness,* you who judge the earth;a
think of the LORD in goodness,
and seek him in integrity of heart;b
2
Because he is found by those who do not test him,
and manifests himself to those who do not disbelieve him.c
3
For perverse counsels separate people from God,
and his power, put to the proof, rebukes the foolhardy;d
4
* Because into a soul that plots evil wisdom does not enter,
nor does she dwell in a body under debt of sin.e
5
For the holy spirit of discipline* flees deceit
and withdraws from senseless counsels
and is rebuked when unrighteousness occurs.f
6
For wisdom is a kindly spirit,
yet she does not acquit blasphemous lips;
Because God is the witness of the inmost selfg
and the sure observer of the heart
and the listener to the tongue.h
7
For the spirit of the LORD fills the world,i
is all-embracing, and knows whatever is said.
8
Therefore those who utter wicked things will not go unnoticed,
nor will chastising condemnation pass them by.j
9
For the devices of the wicked shall be scrutinized,
and the sound of their words shall reach the LORD,
for the chastisement of their transgressions;
10
Because a jealous ear hearkens to everything,k
and discordant grumblings are not secret.
11
Therefore guard against profitless grumbling,
and from calumny* withhold your tongues;
For a stealthy utterance will not go unpunished,
and a lying mouth destroys the soul.
12
Do not court death* by your erring way of life,
nor draw to yourselves destruction by the works of your hands.
13
Because God did not make death,l
nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living.
14
For he fashioned all things that they might have being,
and the creatures of the world are wholesome;
There is not a destructive drug among them
nor any domain of Hades* on earth,
15
For righteousness is undying.* m
The Wicked Reject Immortality and Righteousness Alike
16
It was the wicked who with hands and words invited death,
considered it a friend, and pined for it,
and made a covenant with it,
Because they deserve to be allied with it.Pureblood

Book of Wisdom - Chapter 2
1
For, not thinking rightly, they said among themselves:*
“Brief and troubled is our lifetime;a
there is no remedy for our dying,
nor is anyone known to have come back from Hades.
2
For by mere chance were we born,
and hereafter we shall be as though we had not been;
Because the breath in our nostrils is smoke,
and reason a spark from the beating of our hearts,
3
And when this is quenched, our body will be ashes
and our spirit will be poured abroad like empty air.b
4
Even our name will be forgotten in time,
and no one will recall our deeds.
So our life will pass away like the traces of a cloud,
and will be dispersed like a mist
Pursued by the sun’s rays
and overpowered by its heat.
5
For our lifetime is the passing of a shadow;
and our dying cannot be deferred
because it is fixed with a seal; and no one returns.c
6
Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things that are here,
and make use of creation with youthful zest.d
7
Let us have our fill of costly wine and perfumes,
and let no springtime blossom pass us by;
8
let us crown ourselves with rosebuds before they wither.
9
Let no meadow be free from our wantonness;
everywhere let us leave tokens of our merriment,
for this is our portion, and this our lot.e
10
Let us oppress the righteous poor;
let us neither spare the widow
nor revere the aged for hair grown white with time.f
11
But let our strength be our norm of righteousness;
for weakness proves itself useless.
12
* Let us lie in wait for the righteous one, because he is annoying to us;
he opposes our actions,
Reproaches us for transgressions of the law*
and charges us with violations of our training.g
13
He professes to have knowledge of God
and styles himself a child of the LORD.h
14
To us he is the censure of our thoughts;
merely to see him is a hardship for us,i
15
Because his life is not like that of others,
and different are his ways.
16
He judges us debased;
he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure.
He calls blest the destiny of the righteous
and boasts that God is his Father.j
17
Let us see whether his words be true;
let us find out what will happen to him in the end.k
18
For if the righteous one is the son of God, God will help him
and deliver him from the hand of his foes.l
19
With violence and torture let us put him to the test
that we may have proof of his gentleness
and try his patience.
20
Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
for according to his own words, God will take care of him.”m
21
These were their thoughts, but they erred;
for their wickedness blinded them,n
22
* And they did not know the hidden counsels of God;
neither did they count on a recompense for holiness
nor discern the innocent souls’ reward.o
23
For God formed us to be imperishable;
the image of his own nature he made us.p
24
But by the envy* of the devil, death entered the world,
and they who are allied with him experience it.

Before the Flood....... when some Angels conspired together to come to Earth..... and create the Nephilim and corrupt Mankind...... these angels KNEW they would be punished by God. But these angels did not believe God would do anything too harsh.
They probably believed that God would go easy on them. They thought that the Sin would be worth whatever small price God would make them pay..... and so they left their habitation, as the Bible says.... and manifested on Earth.
But then God brought the Flood, and destroyed everything. And then...after the Flood, the punishment was handed down to the fallen. All of these fallen angels were cast out and condemned to "go from arid places seeking rest and does not find it" .......... and would face the ultimate punishment on the Judgment.
Can you imagine the very moment the fallen angels discovered this? Screaming and despair. They finally realized the grave consequence of their sin. The punishment was severe and complete, and there would be no redemption. Some of these fallen must have immediately regretted what they did.
And now.... centuries upon centuries of this, being condemned and looking for rest and finding none....... have driven them insane. And they all know that a coming Judgment will be even worse.... when they are cast into the lake of fire. I imagine that some of them are still upset at what happened, and scream in despair and probably try to pray to God... but God is not listening. Angels... who once knew God..... and felt the comfort and love of the Father..... now cut off and hopeless. Frustrated. And very jealous of humanity..... Mankind who has been offered redemption......
This is the consequence of Sin. It is grave. And the only thing keeping us from the same fate as the fallen, is the GRACE AND MERCY of God through Jesus Christ. God loved you so much that he put HIMSELF ON A CROSS, to be spit on, beaten, and ridiculed...... just to keep you from suffering the same consequences of Sin.Last edited by CalmWind; 07-02-2016 at 04:28 PM.

Book of Wisdom - Chapter 3
But the souls of the upright are in the hands of God, and no torment can touch them.
2 To the unenlightened, they appeared to die, their departure was regarded as disaster,
3 their leaving us like annihilation; but they are at peace.
4 If, as it seemed to us, they suffered punishment, their hope was rich with immortality;
5 slight was their correction, great will their blessings be. God was putting them to the test and has proved them worthy to be with him;
6 he has tested them like gold in a furnace, and accepted them as a perfect burnt offering.
7 At their time of visitation, they will shine out; as sparks run through the stubble, so will they.
8 They will judge nations, rule over peoples, and the Lord will be their king for ever.
9 Those who trust in him will understand the truth, those who are faithful will live with him in love; for grace and mercy await his holy ones, and he intervenes on behalf of his chosen.
10 But the godless will be duly punished for their reasoning, for having neglected the upright and deserted the Lord.
11 Yes, wretched are they who scorn wisdom and discipline: their hope is void, their toil unavailing, their achievements unprofitable;
12 their wives are reckless, their children depraved, their descendants accursed.
13 Blessed the sterile woman if she be blameless, and has not known an unlawful bed, for she will have fruit at the visitation of souls.
14 Blessed, too, the eunuch whose hand commits no crime, and who harbours no resentment against the Lord: a special favour will be granted to him for his loyalty, a most desirable portion in the temple of the Lord.
15 For the fruit of honest labours is glorious, and the root of understanding does not decay.
16 But the children of adulterers will not reach maturity, the offspring of an unlawful bed will disappear.
17 Even if they live long, they will count for nothing, their old age will go unhonoured at the last;
18 while if they die early, they have neither hope nor comfort on the day of judgement,
19 for the end of a race of evil-doers is harsh.Pureblood

Question for anyone who might know: are there any distinctions between Arminianism and classic Catholic or Orthodox teachings on the same areas of theology?
Throughout this year, the Calvinism that I had affirmed for so long has crumbled. Having been a Calvinist for 7 years, I can very easily look at TULIP, think of a Bible verse (or verses) that seems to fit neatly with any given point, and see where Calvinists are coming from, but over the years my awareness of passages that contradict 5-point Calvinism has built up, and eventually I've found myself looking at the whole system and at every stepping saying: "I see why you think that, but..."
I've looked into Roman Catholic teachings on these things, and the framework seems to connect the dots pretty coherently. I haven't been able to get such clarity from Eastern Orthodox teachings insofar as I've been able to access them, beyond an adamant affirmation that we do in fact have free will. I had always thought that Jacob Arminius thought that the only thing predestined was that Jesus would die as an atonement for sins, although this year, as far as I've looked into it, it appears he thought more was predestined than just that.
So I don't really know where my understanding sits in relation to these traditions, or where they sit in relation to each other. So...curious.SQ 172.5kg. BP 105kg. DL 200kg. OHP 62.5kg @ 67.3kg
