From beebeesee news:
The Germanwings co-pilot thought to have deliberately crashed his Airbus in the French Alps, killing 150 people, predicted "one day everyone will know my name", his ex-girlfriend says. In an interview with Germany's Bild newspaper, she recalled a comment Andreas Lubitz made last year.
"One day I'm going to do something that will change the whole system, and everyone will know my name and remember," he told her.

Well Lufthansa/GermanWings are about to be sued to the ground................
What in the phuck are Lufthansa medical checks that miss psychiatric testing portion.
Apparently the tape recording will be released, there is already snippets coming out.
Phuck the pilot at last moments was using axe to try and break down the door.
Can't imagine what the passengers/crew were going through seeing that.

All I'm saying is, if this German was a Christian and believed in a God that punishes people for committing such atrocious actions, maybe he would think twice before taking out 150 people along with himself. You see it all the time on the news, some autistic atheist ends up shooting up a school or shopping mall before putting a bullet through his head because of how depressed he is. I'm not arguing that other religious groups don't perform terrorist actions under the name of their religion, but when it comes to some depressed brah going on a rampage, atheists take the cake.
lol @ my culture cus we're not violent? maybe if other cultures strived to be more like that, the world would be a better place. It's kind of hard to win a fight when your outnumbered 100 to 1 in a region. pls go

I swear some of these theories on cnn so stupid, should no humans be allowed in the cockpit and allow ground people to fly it. I swear some of these are clowns. It's not hard enforce 2 people rule, and if someone has mental problems allow the doctors to give the info to the airlines, not give a note to the pilot saying you're not fit to fly.

Law brah here
That's correct. These things are governed by the Montreal Convention. Under the convention the airlines are strictly liable for 175K per passenger. Where passengers are claiming damages above 175K the burden shifts to the airline to prove they were not responsible due to negligence etc for the loss.
The jurisdiction for these claims depends on many factors, and ultimately how much money the passengers family's will receive depends on where they are able to establish jurisdiciton. Those families that have to sue in Germany will likely receive little above the 175K. While those families able to sue in the US will receive millions just to compensate for the terror experienced by their family members in those immediate moments before death where they realized they were going to die.
People like big complex changes because some how they think that will make things safer. That problem is with each change you usually create a new risk. Here the risk is so remote, and so small that it makes little sense to add new risk, or much expense, to address it. The simplest and most effective solution is simply to have the rule of 2 people in the cockpit at any one time.Last edited by 7rmr; 03-28-2015 at 01:20 PM.

what's worse is I saw an 'pilot psychologist' on Sky News ask why the Pilot tried to break the door down, as theoretically he should've known it was impossible. I mean come on, what was his other option, turn to the passengers, fold his arms, and sit on the floor? Get himself a coffee?

They'll release a transcript, not sure if they're required to release the full audio. Would like to hear it just to satisfy my morbid curiosity.
Iunno how they've come to the conclusion that he was using an axe. I thought the only one in the plane is located in the cockpit. But ya brutal, knowing that nothing is getting through that door because it's doing exactly what it was designed to do.
Fckin hate CNN, their 'aviation specialist' claims MH370 was hijacked by russian special forces under Putin's order...

Yes, Jeff Wise is a bit of an nut (and I don't think he has appeared on CNN for a while now). But their current aviation specialists include the former head of the NTSB, a former inspector for the FAA, and the former Inspector General for the Department of Transportation. You really couldn't have a more knowledgeable group.

03-29-2015, 12:09 AM #707#Lufthansa offers immediate financial assistance to families of #Germanwings flight #4U9525. Amount equivalent to $68,600 per passenger. - CBC News Alerts @CBCAlerts
that is pennies compared to the lose of your relative + funeral cost, mental anguish, lost time from work and life....
Is this similar to MH370, where the Airlines offered a similar pay out to the relatives, something like around $120k. And if they accepted it then that is all they can get and they cant sue, ect...?русский брат

Pilot should be able to correspond with them somehow. Phones/transmitters in the plane outside of the locked cockpit, that the pilot can use to contact the control tower. Verify his identity and let them know what's going on.
I'm aware that's not how it works. Its obvious because that's not what happened. All i'm saying is if the medical examiner (say, the one examining the co-pilot) deems a pilot unfit to fly for psychiatric reasons, it would make sense for the airliner/whoever's in charge of assigning crew to get the information directly from him. Instead of relying on medically unfit pilots to make use of sick notes.------------------------

Summary of transcript has leaked.. Apparently.
Pretty terrifying if you read it and imagine being on the plane in that timeframe
Think we should forget this beta kid and focus on the main pilot the true hero trying everything he could to save them. And remember the people who passed away tragically.
On cnn, news.com.au bbcee etc"That feels when your brain says this can't be real then you remember you're on misc and decide yep every word happened"

We need a new ideology with the core values of reason, honesty, science and secular progress over the older traditions of religion, superstition and dogmatic faith that have long defined humanity. We will never be free to progress and advance until the last stone from the last church is cast down onto the last priest. And every equivalent.

Sloots come and go but moms are forever
Get to know your parents: you never know when they'll be gone for good.
Be nice to your siblings: they're your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.
Enjoy your body: use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it or of what other people think of it: it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own.
