Introduction
I guess I'll start with introduction?
I'm willing to bet Ray will be next
A brief "About Me" :
Until the age of 17, I was a scrawny nerd all my life.. weighing 120lbs (perhaps 125?) when I was 5"10
I had a straight path of being an accountant, but I dealt with questions about whether or not I am actually living my life to the fullest (corny phrase, I know).
However, at the end of my senior year of high school (graduated at 17 *snort snort*), I had the privilege to meet with a recruiter for the marine.
I was intrigued by everything. Their uniform. Their "alpha male" characteristics.. and so on.
Thus, I got out of my comfort zone and signed up..
Bleh, my hopes sure were short-lived.
I passed the cardio with ease.. but couldn't even do a SINGLE pull-up
Thus, here I am.. 4 years later.
Fearful of being mediocre, I favor the practice of power-lifting a bit more than bodybuilding
I am currently on Day 3 (since it's Wednesday) of Mike O'Hearn's 12 week power-bodybuilding program
A small catch though.. I am on a calorie deficit
Current raw stats (altered from a car accident)..
-395lbs Squat (405 spotted).. 455 is my PR
-295lbs Bench (315 spotted).. 315 is my PR
-405lbs Deadlift... 455 is my PR
Starting bodyweight: 200lbs (spot-on)
Well, I guess that's all folks (in Swuuu's tone)

Week 1: Day 2 (Legs)
Current Bodyweight: 197.4
Lost 2.6lbs in 3 days. Gonna bump my macros a bit to slow down the process.
*First week of lifting after taking a deload week. Stats went down a whole lot..
*It sure is frustrating.. I was aiming for 6 sets of 315-365's on Squats.. but fell short
Barbell Squats (Rest 3-5minutes)
-3 sets of warm-up (135, 185, 225)
-5 reps x 275lbs
-5 reps x 315lbs
-5 reps x 315lbs
-4 reps x 315lbs
-4 reps x 315lbs
*Felt a sharp pain on my Hamstrings/Glutes.. decided to listen to my body on this one.
Close-Stance Leg Press (Rest 3minutes)
-1 set of warm-up (395lbs)
-8 reps x 575lbs
-8 reps x 755lbs
-8 reps x 845lbs
-4 reps x 936lbs
-8 reps x 755lbs
Leg Extensions (Rest 3 minutes)
-4 sets of 10reps
Comment:
Gave it my very best.. sigh..
Will be posting pictures/videos from time to time~
On the bright side.. I woke up not feeling my legs
T'was a mental battle to wake up this morning.

oops...sorry, was that my queue?
Ok, a lot of people prolly know somewhat about me, but for those who dont...heres a lil about me.
I came to Bodybuilding.Com 8 years ago and it was a blessing. I had started my journey years before, but coming here reignited things. I have been away here and there due to life (coaching sons football, injuries, etc) but ALWAYS find my way back here. As to the previous..well...life?
Growing up, I was skinny and minuscule. I was picked on everyday and bullied more than you can imagine. Why you ask? Well, since I was 3 years old, I've had hearing problems. I spent a LARGE part of my life from the time I was 3 until I was 12 at the Mayo Clinic either for check-ups or operations. I have undergone more than 20 operations on my ears. I'm sure you all are aware how brutal kids can be. I grew up wearing hearing aids (and eventually glasses as well), yeah...you see where I'm going with this...prime candidate to be picked on. Anyway, fast forward to High School. I was somewhat secluded until I got involved in sports (and apparently was very good at them). I started playing primarily football and it introduced me to working out. I started to come out of my shell and really didn't give a rats ass what anyone thought about me anymore. I sat in the front of class, aced all my classes and played football...that was it. Eventually I went on to play a year of Community College ball on scholarship. There I took a full slate of classes, played ball and worked weekends. I was then hit by a drunk driver and it set me back...BIG TIME! I lost hope, desire, motivation. I received my AA in business Mgmt/Admin. I finally was able to rehab my back up to par and ended up walking on to try out for the Arizona Wranglers semi-pro team...and made it. Played two years and let it go due to injuries and life responsibilities. I have been working out for over 19 years because I enjoy it and it is a great stress reliever for me. I have gotten more serious at times throughout that time frame. The things that have happened to me in my life and the things I've been through have truly molded me in to who I am. I am very upfront, optimistic, humorous, honest, open, a tad bit crazy and carry a "Don't give a **** attitude" (and I mean that in a good way). Listen, it is what it is, make the best of it. If you want something, YOU gotta go get it....don't expect someone or something to give it to you...work for it! I work for the Post Office (mailman) and for True Grit (which was another blessing). The things I enjoy most are working out, Riding my Harley & hanging w/ my kiddos. I also like to mix things up a lot and "find" other things to do to create goals (Spartan Races, etc). I am currently on the fence as to possibly training for a 40/over bodybuilding comp. I usually wake up around 4:30am five days a week to work out or run and am on my feet all day with mail route. I prepare my foods and eat 5-6 times a day as cleanly as I can. There you have it...me in a nutshell.

I'll get in on this Saturday when i get back to my regular routine. Somewhere between vacation and the wife&kid being sick last weekend, I've been off track and just doing a few exercises here and there. Will get the "about me" up tonight.

Hey y'all,
I don't rep a supplement company, but I am not opposed to it. I do, however tournament bass fish. In that arena I rep several great companies. Is it cool if I get in here too? I would love to get more workout motivation and supplement intel, maybe even a hook up or two.
I will probably pimp my own sponsors a little in here if that is cool too.
Let me know,
J

It's great to follow and get inspiration
You've always managed to maintain a great physique despite while keeping the real life going, so gritty it is!
I'm still logging (a new log) but nothing worth looking at
It's great to see your story and those are some serious lifts. I assume the plan is to get back to your old PRs
That's a great journey, and seriously, you are carrying an awesome amount of mass in that pic. It would be cool to see you show off that mass in stage condition and great to watch your progress on the way"Better to wear out than rust out!"
Squat 165kg/363lbs
Deadlift 190kg/418lbs

Thx brother, it's something I've been pondering. Always seeking new goals. Biggest issue will be finances for this goal. It's gonna cost me a lot more for the food, etc to prep for contest than what I currently do. If I can get that set aside, it'll be more of a possibility. We'll see...if so, it will be great to have everyone motivate & push me more

A bit about the nanner
Stats- 31 years old I think, 6'2", 205# +/-
Program- 5/3/1 BBB, probably gonna transition to the 5/3/1 offseason strength routine soon.
Diet- Eat all of it.
Personal- I'm a husband to a wife that I love, and father to a 2 1/2 year old beast of a boy. That's my world. Of course I have to work, managing a shop in the construction rental business (Read fulltime babysitter of grown men.). The thing that keeps me sane is lifting. Everyone needs an outlet, and that's mine. Aside from those things, there ain't much to me. Just a country boy that likes beer, boobies, Bama football, and Da Bears.💪💪💪Dirty South Crew💪💪💪
