Self employed is the answer?


If you don't have the discipline or hang down to effectively manage your life with a 9-5, there's no way in hell you'll ever be successful as self employed.

Self employed people work 70+ hours a week starting their businesses.

Sometimes you get a paycheck, sometimes you don't. Is there some college class all you 20 year old slap dicks are taking that romanticizes self employment or something? I hear it all the time from younger men who I deal with.

I'm self employed and it's cool now, but a person complaining about a 9-5 and not having enough time to flex in front of other men at the gym won't make it in their own business.

This... I started a business and was working about 90 hour weeks getting it off the ground. Got an 8-5 to make sure I keep a stable income since I'm not paying myself yet with my business, and that **** is so easy. Get home at 5:30, sometimes gym until 7, work on my other business until 11 or so then go to bed. I definitely get how an 8-5 can be a downer if you don't like the job or something, but don't expect self employment to be easier.

overall save your money and do something with it and whatever you do dont get cuffed to some girl and end up popping out 2-3 kids

Wrong. You have to each and take care of crap when you get home. You only get an hour of free time. That's the 9-5 life for lifters.

6 Wake up
7 Leave house
7:30 - 5 work
5 - 7 Drive to gym, workout, drive home
7 - 8/8:30 Shower + Dinner
8/8:30 - 12 Free time

~4 hours free time per day.... unless you have like over an hour commute or sleep a lot im not sure how you would only have 1 hour of free time per day

Worked at Boeing night shift IT.....there is truly only so much youtube and misc'ing you can do.

brb work from 11pm-7am 4x's a week
brb get home go straight to sleep
brb wake up in 5 hours and go back to sleep
brb wake up in another hour, go back to sleep
brb wake up at 9:50pm to get ready to work
brb sleep most days off


its a horrid life srs.....

I work from 7 pm - 5 am m-f . All I do is sleep now =(

To take an asst. park ranger job at 15/hr.

During the winter my neighbor, 40, is doing electrical work in a new construction home. No heat, 35 degrees, working in a attic or basement.
Every day.

Reconsider how bad your 9-5 office job is. If your company offers training use it. Later get another job if it is that bad.

330-1030 do whatever i want.

thanks for replies I'm aware people have is 20 times worse then me I'm not entitled to sht just to what I put into things...the part is I need to find something I enjoy can't imagine spending rest of my life hating it and working with ppl I hate..I'm still only 20 and I think I've gotten potential so I'm going chase my dreams and find a job that I have a connection with.Started applying to places that interest me going to leave current job as soon as I'll have another one lined up

Srs thread here. Anyone else with me? No matter what job I have that is 9-5, I basically lose my mind eventually, I just cant stand the structure of a 9-5 job and much rather be self employed, But does anyone else feel this way?

Change this while you are young and still have the ability to. In 10-15 years you will have nowhere near the flexibility you have now.

Keep in mind that while many self-employed people don't work 9-5, they can easily work 7am-9pm for 6-7 days a week and are on call all the time. Especially when starting their business.

Evaluate what you want and talk to those who have been in your shoes.

This is why I think modeling/being actor or being in entertainment business is the best "job" you can have. Its stressing at times, but you meet a ton of different people, hbb, establish a lot of connections, bonds , be rich, travel the world and live life, unlike slaving away to zionist government on 9-5, then come home and drink a beer, go to sleep, with only 2 free days a week ...
