Self employed is the answer?
If you don't have the discipline or hang down to effectively manage your life with a 9-5, there's no way in hell you'll ever be successful as self employed.
Self employed people work 70+ hours a week starting their businesses.
Sometimes you get a paycheck, sometimes you don't. Is there some college class all you 20 year old slap dicks are taking that romanticizes self employment or something? I hear it all the time from younger men who I deal with.
I'm self employed and it's cool now, but a person complaining about a 9-5 and not having enough time to flex in front of other men at the gym won't make it in their own business.-Misc Pilot/Airplane Owner Crew

I've worked 9-5 since I graduated University.
Until recently I used to hate until I got a job I actually like a lot.
No matter what job you're going to have Mondays where you feel like chit and don't feel like going to work.
9-5 is not the problem. It's the type of job it is. Find a job that's more engaging where everyday there's something new going on. Also you need to have good fun people around you.
I used to work in the accounting field and I wanted to blow my brains out. Got out of that as quick as I could. Didn't give a fuk about becoming a CPA or any of that chit. miserable life/10

best shifts I ever worked were:
4 10s, 4 10 hour days giving you friday saturday and sunday off.. just heavenly
10:30 to 7:30 was the other shift, get to sleep in and you get off right on time to go out and do anything
you should try finance LOL

All these wanna be entrepreneurs think that.
"Man, I hate my life and job, I'll just go hire a bunch of people and lay around."
If it was that easy, everyone would do it. At some point, after 2 years you hire your first employ and then find that every employee was you, 2 years ago. Doesn't give a phuck about the job, just wants to lay around and get paid to do it.
lol, I do enjoy the naivity though.-Misc Pilot/Airplane Owner Crew

Is it the job itself you don't like because working 9-5 isn't bad at all OP, 8 hours isn't chit. I personally graduated a couple years ago and hated the corporate america desk jockey lifestyle. Wanted to blow my brains out sitting on my ass staring at a computer all day, I really don't get how people do it.
Realized I needed to make a career change before I got to old and ended up going back to school for something completely different. It's going to take me about 2-3 years to finish this degree but I am literally exponentially happier being out of that lifestyle knowing my future is going to be much different.***STFU Stop Complaining No One Cares Crew***

yah it def sucks to make that transition. mine was a bit easier coming out of school. i got hired at a company that was based in germany so we worked 37.5 hours per week and flex scheduling. brb work 7-3, then gym. brb still feel like i have some good time in the day while still being able to work out
those days are over though :\
