    Cutting over 40

When you are cutting, do you find that your problem areas (meaning the first places you get fat and the last place you get lean) are even more of a problem as you get older? what I mean is that it seems like I'm leaning out on most parts of my body but my waistline is barely budging, whereas when I cut a few years back my body would have lost fat more proportionately. Is this accurate?

Not really no. I think my metabolism was faster years back so I could cut on more calories than I can now. Beside that, it's still just simple math and time.

I'm going into about 40 and a half and I'm currently cutting for my first national competition in mens physique. I have found that when I stick my strict diet and 5 day/week cardio, I lose the extra fluff from all the areas I gained in. I think age can play a factor in the speed at which one may lose extra fat, but I wouldn't think age would prevent you from losing it altogether.

43 here and last year, I really had to amp up the cardio and do a carb cycle type food plan for my last show of the summer.

All starts in the kitchen and then how you plan to train. At this age, hormone, stress and other life responsible can also impact your success.

We all loose that last bit of stubborn fat from different places and at different times. Just hang on in there mate it sure doesn't get any easier with age.
