Ok just some talk about some actually lifting. So I've been in a depression since I became an "retired athlete" and added a bunch of stress on that. The winter months made it much worse for me. I kinda hit rock bottom after feeling like death I went to the doctors and found out I had super high BP 140/100 to be exact.
Well that was enough to make a change, switched up my diet to the Vertical Diet, got back in the gym and just changed my attitude for everything. The weather changed how I felt a lot too.
Went for my 1 month check up, down 8lbs, my BP is down in a more normal range at 130/90. The fire is coming back and just ready to make major changes.
So some motivation if anyone is struggling with anything, and a few of you guys props for kicking my ass to get moving.
Also if you have the chance shoot your shot. Even if it fails shoot your shot, no matter what it is.

So basically the Vertical Diet aside from a bunch of Bro Science which a lot of diets are or seem to be. It's not a set diet but more a guide to eating certain foods, avoiding certain foods, training recovery, optimal performance (but I'm not really in it for this), and gut health.
There is info on what foods to eat and which to avoid because they're better to eat, absorb into the system faster, easier to digest, don't cause stomach issues, get more in you faster, etc. This again could be bro science but I feel better so even if it is hey it's working.
It's also nothing to far out there from basic diets but add somethings into it and taking some things out.

yeah biggest issue with living in toronto is the seasonal disorder everyone deals with. That lack of dopamine. Everyone is so grumpy and negative for like 7 months and now with the weather being gorgeous, everyone is all happy and positve. The main big shocker i noticed coming from la to toronto. Feel bad for immigrants who move from sunny climates to a cold, dreary super expensive city. Toronto is awesome - 5 months of the year
Weight Loss: Go carnivore or keto combined with 16/8 IF. It'll create easy calorie deficit. Meat is good and heals, stop being lied to.

Just remember this fact:
"Between 2003 and 2013, the ranks of the Ontario government grew at a rate five times higher than the private sector"
Many of these folks are on the sunshine list.
I seem to know more people that have excellent government/municipal/crown corporation jobs with great benefits and pensions...than I know who actual just work in the private sector, and I work in the private sector!
Who is paying for all of this?
If you are in a job in the private sector struggling along while folks and couples you know both have high paying public sector jobs (and really cant explain exactly what they do) There is something wrong.
Problem is I cant for the life of me figure out which is the best of the three clowns to vote for.
We have a major problem here folks. I am not believing that we can either slash and burn or spend our way out of this.
End of rant. Please record my time/reps if I pass out

Thread is moving slow, I miss LS. Glad we’re still posting anyways. I do not want to go to work tomorrow, it’s supposed to almost hit 40 I think.

I almost died too And I DO do an extremely physical job, outside all day long. And my stupid Viking ginger genetics don’t help. I’ll work in -10 in a t-shirt. Anything over 25 and my production drops in half. And I have sooooo much to do in the summer to prepare for the winter.

Jaymz, on spread. I work on a horse farm. I’m the manager so I basically do everything in the blistering heat and there is no “too hot to work today”. If the fences are down- Fix them, they need hay, tractor work, bush hogging, trough cleaning, it has to be done regardless of heat. As well as all the stall mucking. It’s pretty brutal.

Hey there, fellow hosers!
Who's excited for the long weekend?
Hope everyone's got some good food and good times lined up; there's a 2-4 and a chesterfield with my name on it!
And don't forget to ask for help when shaving that maple leaf into your back hair, we don't need any heroes out there.
Also, new to this thread, but the girlfriend and I are moving from Vancouver to Toronto at the end of July.
Shipping our things while we drive across and take in the sites, Departures style.
What should we see? Where should we go?
I'm looking for the best, and maybe even the worst, this country has to offer.
