While she says she feels very much like a “daughter of the gay community”, she says she has changed her view on gay marriage and doesn’t believe it should be allowed.
“I’m writing to you because I’m letting myself out of the closet: I don’t support gay marriage. But it might not be for the reasons that you think. It’s not because you’re gay. I love you, so much. It’s because of the nature of the same-sex relationship itself,” she said. “Same-sex marriage and parenting withholds either a mother or father from a child while telling him or her that it doesn’t matter. That it’s all the same. But it’s not. A lot of us, a lot of your kids, are hurting. My father’s absence created a huge hole in me, and I ached every day for a dad. I loved my mum’s partner, but another mum could never have replaced the father I lost.”Cliffs:Every human being has a mother and a father, and to cut either from a child’s life is to rob the child of dignity, humanity, and equality,” the six of them wrote. “You have given us great inspiration as all six of us prepare to submit letters to the US Supreme Court against gay marriage.”
Many children raised by homosexual couples feel robbed of part of their childhood and are writing the US Supreme Court to oppose legalization of gay marriage

no sh*t. they're being denied a normal upbringing.
you'd be surprised how many liberal *******s on here would defend gay people having children.
im all for gay people being together and even getting married (hey wtf, doesn't concern me) but when you bring a poor child into their fukked up lifestyle (yes, being gay IS unnatural) you then distort that innocent child too
if i were that child i'd prefer if no body adopted me srs

I don't see what marriage has to do with gays raising children. I'm sure that girl would have been even happier without her dad living in a grimy orphanage while getting beat by multiple foster parents.
Being gay is not, and has never been, unnatural. "gay" is a word that came about during extremely restrictive religious times and demarcated concepts of "difference" through language. Being "gay" only came about essentially in the 19th century (right around Oscar Wildes' trial), because before then it wasn't a term, a word, that had a distinct set of connotations attached to it, which didn't fit the highly conservative religious atmosphere of 19th century society.
We use words to demonstrate difference amongst people; think about the term insane, to try and separate acts and behaviours that are deemed too incomprehensible to be given validation within the confines of society. It allows us to feel comfortable that someone who does something "wrong" is not conscious, properly, of the social norms he or she needs to fit into within a society. Thus, the person is deemed insane in order to discredit the validation of his actions, the self-consciousness of his being.

I'll be completely honest, if I meet a gay person IRL male or female I think they're fine as long as they are genuine well-behaved people.
Though I have very traditional/old-school values and generally am not to accepting of the same sex lifestyle between me or anyone in my family. If I had a son/daughter that turned out to be gay. I did something wrong as a father. No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Oh look.
One woman who was brought up by a gay couple and didn't think it was an idea situation.
How many fuking people got brought up by a straight mother and father and DIDN'T THINK THEY HAD AN IDEAL UPBRINGING EITHER?
Stop stereotyping. Each person is different. Just because someone is straight or gay doesn't mean they will be a good parent.

God you retards are retarded. So she grew up without a father. Cry me a fuking river. Marriage has nothing to do with how she was raised. Her mom could have been unwed and still raised her with another woman. What a stupid bitch and an even dumber OP for acting like this is somehow in any way relevant to the topic of individual rights.
God you *******s are stupid.
