I haven't eaten McDonald's/BK/Wendy's, etc in 15 years...what am I missing?

Honestly? nothing. Had mc donalds the other day because its the only hot food place near my work, tastes like chit and costs a ton just for a meal.

Yeah I like to go there sometimes when I'm low on food in the house and want something quick to eat and hang out a bit. My GF is even more of a food nazi than I am and even she loves it there.

I stopped eating it when I turned 20 as part of my fat kid weight loss and never had it again. I got it in my head that it was chit and even when I was a complete mess, abusing alcohol badly and wanted to kill myself...I never touched it.

What have I missed? Has it ever changed? It drives my friends nuts when they wanna "grab something quick" I would/will make them go to a subway or some other means...

Honestly, you haven't missed much. Wendy's used to have this Keizer bun that you could ask for on the #1. They did away with that and then came out with sea salted fries which aren't that great. Wendys does have Jr Bacon Cheeseburgers which are pretty tasty and small so they aren't a lot of bad for you, dude.

I would say abusing alcohol and wanting to kill yourself is way worse than an occasional wendys gut burger, though.

I'll tell you this much....since you're old AF like me, you remember the portion sizes back then. The Quarter Pounder from McDonalds is about 1/3 the size it was back then. Maybe its the senility, but I remember it tasting a lot better 10-15 years ago, and it was bigger.

Carl's Jr (Hardee's) has a low carb burger (no buns) that's pretty good. Tons of fat tho but you won't turn into the mitchellin man eating them

I hadn't been to McDonalds for about 7 years. Went recently expecting it to taste bad because of the amount of bashing McDonalds gets on here but I was actually quite surprised. The fries were great and the hamburgers were tasty. And I had no after effects either. Maybe McDonalds is different in other countries. I also got a Happy Meal - fish fingers, carrots sticks and organic milk.

I miss the Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy's. McDonald's has some decent iced coffees also but I just hate going to those places now. I ate way too much fast food as a kid, which made me pretty chubby through my teen years. Don't want to go back to that.

Oh I eat when we go out, I just typically look for the healthiest option for wherever we go, etc. Of course, I'll throw down on pizza and so on.

Diet depends on if I'm training for a PL meet, etc.

OP I only eat fast food about 3 times per year and regret it every time. It tastes like crap when you are not eating it every week, and makes me very thirsty from all of the salt. I can make better hamburgers for the same price or cheaper if I'm making enough.
