i remember there was one black kid that called be a ni66a one time, he got me in just the right mood and i turned and said to him "i'm black? my mother's going to be so disappointed in me". the look on his face, it was like you had hit him with a tuna. i couldn't tell if he was more pissed or offended, but i couldn't have cared less. he didn't say a word to me, just glared at me, trying to decide if he had enough to make me pay for my comment.
i'm guessing he decided maybe he didn't because he didn't try and do jack about it, but i sometimes wonder if he thought twice before calling anyone that word again.

the problem with people is that instead of accepting that they made a mistake, they become embarrassed/upset at the fact that they're being told they did something wrong. If anyone ever corrects me, and that correction is justified, then I sincerely apologize and make sure to not make that mistake again. You could have been as polite as possible, and some people would still take offense to it. Just remember you're better than them, and it isn't worth the trouble to get into an argument. You're dealing with lower class people, at the bottom of the social ladder. Would you get upset if a homeless man told you that you had no life? Maybe, but it shouldn't ruin your day. I commend your effort to not lash out on their ridiculous comment. That takes maturity and restraint.

Last line, priceless
I have bad temper/ anger issues so I understand being upset for a couple of days when something really pisses you off, but that something has to be significant.
Wasted energy is right.
Thanks for the props young man.

That's great! Working out together will be fun and your wife will get inspired once she gets through her first workout. I've bugged my husband to come to the gym with me and he finally did last Sunday. I sort of dragged him there but he did come and once he was there he worked out. He used to work out so he knew all the equipment and he seems motivated. I'm hoping he comes with me this weekend. One day at a time.
Thanks for the support on my test. My confidence is a bit shaky but what's life without challenges anyway?

My wife has trained with me in the past, but considering that I have been training since the day we got together and I live for this sh!t she should IMO, been there along side me. She doesn't have to be a bodybuilder like me, but just live the healthy life, but she doesn't. And while I am not going to try and force it upon her/nag her I really wish she show more interest in it, not so much for the appearance of it (you know great body etc etc) but for health concerns. She has quit cigarettes, which is a great thing, but only after she was diagnose with 3 clogged arteries Patty has it in her, I know that for sure because when she trained with me, she killed it.
Dawn, you already dove in, the first step is done. You know no one else is going to do this for you, you gotta do it yourself, but more importantly you gotta really want it girl.
I just think it was f'cking stupid of him to come at me the next day, but hey thats just me.On the list for Bannukah

I do understand John. The fact that she quit cigarettes is great. My husband smoked for many years and also quit. Patty will never share your passion for bodybuilding. From what you've described of her she seems more of a nurturing type that probably puts everyone else's needs before her own. You do benefit from that behavior since she cooks your meals, takes your progress pictures and supports your endeavors. Maybe take her shopping and let her get a really sexy dress. It might inspire her.
I have a strong passion for dance and I think I'll make a killer instructor. I'll do what I have to in order to pass the stupid test. I expected this to be easier and faster. OK. It's not what I expected. And if all else fails I'll hire someone to take the test for me.

You know Brack the thing is I don't even think what I said was remotely bad. I mean it took me all of 3 seconds just to say "Can you guys please not walk in front of the camera". I was polite like a f'cking school teacher. If you ever see the video you will see I was out of camera for like 3 seconds or so, I really don't get the guy.
And IMO if he felt a certain way he should have addressed it then and there. On the list for Bannukah

Reminds me never to go to New York, Im from Phoenix and I don't think I ever heard somebody refer to somebody as *****. I realize that Phoenix is not the size of New York but its still a mertopolitian area of over 5 million. The acts of rudeness, butthurt, trying to be hard is expected where BodyHard is from. There was a video about 6 months back, when some dude was in Chandler a suburb of Phoenix running his mouth, claiming he was from New York and how hard he was. Dude literally got knocked out in front of the Camera, by some dude he picked a fight with at the gas station.
