Am I the only one not understanding all the AJ hype? Obviously what he's done is great, but he turns 19/19 and suddenly everyone's saying shiit like "he's going to be the first boxing billionaire" and "he'll be more valuable than brand Beckham and Mayweather". Wtf... no one batted an eyelid when Tyson Fury did the same fuking thing and was on top. I reckon fury would do him as well when he comes back.
"bigger than Mayweather" hahaha. 49-0 ffs with one of the best promotional teams on the planet and he hasn't even reached close to billionaire status yet...How dare you!
Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.

probably because fury and wlad had the most boring fight in hw history, aj is knocking fools out and looks the part, swole chiseled god instead of a fat slob like fury. Not that i think he will but thats prob why, plus eddie hearn is a good promoter the casuals will believe whatever he tells them

You live in the UK so the pandemonium surrounding him is probably really heated up from a lot of people who don't really know what it takes to be that sort of money making machine. They just see a good looking, undefeated, young heavyweight fighter and think, or just hope, he will take over the world. I haven't heard anything close to that sort of hype.

IMHO ggg vs Canelo would be more entertaining.
Facts and common sense defeats ignorance and drama.

Tyson Fury is not marketable he looks in bad shape even when he's in good shape he looks fat, he looks about 40 and he is too controversial in what he says. The days of saying what you like like Ali and others don't work these days as people get triggered easier.
AJ is a dream for companies and sponsors he good looking has a great body (no homo) and people like him. Already celebs want to have their photos with him. Heavyweight boxing appeals to the casual sports fan more than UFC will ever so there is a huge market for AJ, Max Kellerman was near to crying after that fight because he knows AJ is the man to make Boxing huge again. I personally think AJ will get knocked out before that happens but there is a good chance he could make more money than Mayweather ever has.

Just about everything you hear in the public domain has an ulterior motive. Marketing and promotion, for the most part. Like people have said, Tyson Fury was, and still is, probably more skilled he's just not the proper image of a HW champion. Goofy looking, unabashed gypsy, etc.
Promoters think they can push AJ more and sell more fights. Happens all the time. If he doesn't pan out, it's on to the "next big thing." Fight promotion is all about the perception/illusion of what's to come. Watch how many people would buy the McGregor/Mayweather fight, on the basis of Conor having a "puncher's chance" and a better reach. They'll hand over $120 to be disappointed by a fight that will basically be a sparring session.
