I say the chit because I don't know how to word it. I have OG's I talk to offline that no longer post but it was once about bringing not only each other up but the world up.
We know the Zyzz era brought chit but when did this "be edgy" "try really hard" to ruin anything nice, start?
There are young dudes here that think it's ok and normal...scary.

Misc is the same as it ever was. Join date 2012 - if that is your first account then you never experienced old school misc. The novelty just wore off for you since you've been here a while.

From what I know and when I joined (only in 2012) started in the supp misc, it wasnt about one-upping each other m, "catching" someone or hating. It was just people being decent.
From the words of the OG, it was about all miscers brining each other up. A miscer wasn't an FA that jerked off into his sisters panties. He was a dude that met girls, trained hard and brought lulz IRL...678/424/700 - USPA Raw International Elite 220

It's always been bad. It just starts to wear on you after a while is all. I always take 1 yearish breaks after the negativity starts to burn me out. Come back and its funny and enjoyable again, and then repeat.
Have always quit for the same reason, the negativity and why me attitude of most miscers is just depressing and agitating as ****.
So it's not any worse than it's ever been IMO, you're just in that "worn down" state where all the whiney BS from the 4chan/reddit/whatever the **** beta cry baby forum, spillover accounts and posts are getting to you.My loony bun is fine

gotcha. As someone who started lurking only about a year ago, I'm always curious what people miss or think has changed about misc because I really have zero frame of reference.
Do you think that it's because misc got more popular and brought people who otherwise wouldn't have found it? like with zyzz stuff, tinder reply help, FA stuff? And with this shift in focus good older posters decided to fade away?

It's not just misc bro, but the entire internet. If you think it's just the misc that's turned like this, then you've not delved deep enough in the internet.

You're living in a fantasy land if you think the misc was ever like that. There has always been some miscers like the first one you describe and some miscers like the second one you described. It certainly hasn't changed much at all since 2012. I saw threads like this one in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and have already seen some in 2015 before this one. Also, I see threads like this on every forum I visit, and I always have. Novelty effect. period.

I do remember we used to be able to get away with raiding other websites and trolling the sh*t out of them...then something got threatened with legal action and we all got to go away on a vacation for a while

The truth:
The "Golden Age" still had a ton of crap. It was still toxic. But the good stuff was so much better. High quality trolls like mrangry, H4te, bigbeezy, CTA, Malodrax (and others). Great chop threads. Less whining. No FA crap.Jesus is my lifting partner.
