My mind is blown at the fact this Brazilian guy keeps doing terribly in IFBB shows despite winning virtually ever show he did in Brazil and also having one of the best physiques on stage at the 2014 Mr Olympia and 2015 Arnold Classic.
He literally came LAST at the 2015 Arnold Classic and he arguably had a better physique than the winner Sadik Hadzovic.

I agree on this 100%. Don't know why except for politics and the fact that he's not from the US. This guy is by far the most well known physique competitor world wide (over 1 million followers on instagram) and IMO has one of the most aesthetic physiques I've ever seen in the IFBB, also he has a very good posing routine as well.

There's a sub-forum for Men's Physique;

One could argue that his nipples are too high, soft and not erect enough.

Franco has an amazing physique but I wouldnt put him ahead of Sadik and Anton. IMO top 5 should have been
1) Sadik Hadzovic
2) Anton Antipov
3) Felipe Franco
4) Rodney Razor
5) Jason Poston
Franco does seem a bit lacking in mass compared to others though.. Great structure, just a bit smaller and softer.Strong mind, strong body.

Looks much better to me but I really have no idea how this competition is even judged. They do take hair and facial aesthetics into account so maybe he lost there? Idk...this competition seems extremely subjective...as in a lot more than Men's IFBB Open.

If I were to nit pick, he looks softer and has that thick extra skin under his chin. Perhaps that had something to do with it.......I too have no idea how this is judged, so it is speculation on my part.

I would have him winning, just because to me he looks the best.
He has visible normal shaped abs and doesn't have that weird torso like all the competitors do
He looks aesthetic and I would love a physique like that. Whereas Sadik not as much
Don't get me wrong, Sadik is exceptional and deserved that win.
However not knowing whqt criteria they are judged on etc, it's a bit hard.
But for me he looks great★ Cristiano Ronaldo is the GOAT crew ★
★ Anthony Joshua future GOAT crew★
★ Dani Alves has signed 2 year contract with Barca with an option for a third year. ★
★ William Bonac appreciation crew ★
★ Marsbrah crew ★

In addition to what has been said in this thread
Placing him last does the IFBB a disservice. What I mean is that people who are not in competitive shape, that might have dreams one day of getting into shape and competing, might see that this guy who looks phenomenal... got LAST place... and then give up on the idea.
I know I would. It is definitely a turn off to read this about the IFBB.

Felipe looks more like what a winner in a men's physique contests should look like over sadik in my eyes.
His tan is perfect, you can see detail, looks healthy, sadik looks like a raisin.. dark purple and shriveled up
I'm that note, sadik is drier, but in men's physique I'd argue they both look "in shape" but Felipe has better abs and more fullness.
t the end of the day If I had to steal a body to go to the beach I'd take Felipe all day

I could be wrong in this instance, but I know that in larger amateur shows, many of the competitors outside of the top placers are regarded as interchangeable. In the NPC for example, It's nearly impossible to judge, score, and place nearly 100 bikini competitors after you've been at the judges table for hours, especially when those bikini competitors have such negligible differences. I'm definitely not saying that it's ethical, but that's how a lot of the judges would view it I'm sure. When I competed at Collegiate Nationals I was in a class composed of 1 dominant athlete (who won the overall) and several guys that were pretty comparable to one another. Realistically, outside of the winner, you could have placed us interchangeably. The kid who finished in last could have been in second and, in my opinion, was one of the bets on stage. I think that once the obvious athletes are placed it turns into a random selection for the following positions. This seems evident at local shows with lots of competitors (such as bikini) and you'd THINK that it doesn't happen at prestigious shows with prize money and professional athletes involved....
