    Day 25

    Supplements
    PhosphaMuscle - 5 gel caps
    NOX - 1 scoop

    Chest

    Incline DB Press

    Set 1 - 110 x 5
    Set 2 - 105 x 5
    Set 3 - 105 x 5
    Set 4 - 105 x 5
    Set 5 - 105 x 5
    Set 6 - 105 x 5

    Flat DB Press
    Set 1 - 85 x 10
    Set 2 - 85 x 10
    Set 3 - 85 x 10
    Set 4 - 85 x 10
    Set 5 - 85 x 10

    Incline DB Flyes
    Set 1 - 45 x 10
    Set 2 - 45 x 10
    Set 3 - 45 x 10

    Observations
    * Definitely wasn't in the right mental state this morning. Another bad night of sleeping. A lot going on right now.
    * Wanted to go up another 5 lbs on Inclines. Did the first set with 110s, but knew I wouldn't be able to get 6 sets. Dropped down to 105s. Not complaining though. Don't think I've ever used 110s on Inclines.
    * Thought I repeated what I did on the previous workout, but when I looked back, it appears that I went up 5 lbs on the flat DBs. They were definitely a grind this morning and I just chalked it up to not being there mentally. Nice to see that it was because of a weight increase.
    * Flyes finished me off and chest was extremley pumped.
    * I am quite surprised how the last several sessions I haven't felt like I was in the zone, but I have continued to increase in my strength. It's almost like my body always has a little bit more in the tank, even if I've mentally checked out.
    * Lower back is still a bit sore from Deads on Saturday.
    * My forearms felt like they were separating from the bone today. Never really experienced something like that before. It felt almost the same as shin splints do. I'm assuming it was from the deadlifting as well.
    * Appreciate everyone who stopped in as of late.

Thanks guys. 110s were a bit awkward and I'm starting to have pain and stiffness in my hands. Not sure if they are related or if im just getting old.

    Midpoint Review

Passing the midway point (28 days) in this log, I figured I would go ahead and post some of my thoughts and observations so far. I will keep this relatively short and leave the more detailed review for the end of the log.

PhosphaMuscle being taken every day has posed no problem for me. 5 gel caps, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach has caused absolutely no GI or stomach issues. You don't have to take it this way, it's just easier for me as I lift first thing in the morning.

    * In the gym, there have been times when I noticed more of a "pump" when lifting, but not necessarily during every workout.
    * No noticeable changes in energy or endurance during workouts.
    * Hunger/appetite is definitely increased. Most noticeable during the first two weeks. Also more noticeable on lifting days vs non-lifting days. Even on non-lifting days, hunger was elevated more than normal.
    * Strength gains have been rising with each workout. 4 weeks in a row, I've been able to increase weights being used on all main lifts. This has been the most impressive observation to me so far.
    * Recovery has been ok. Seemed better the first couple of weeks. Although, with the gains in strength I've been experiencing, I'm not surprised that recovery has been more of a struggle lately.

To this point, I've been very impressed with PhosphaMuscle. The strength gains have been beyond what I expected. Looking forward to the next 4 weeks.

    * All the incline benches were taken, so instead of waiting around doing nothing, I decided to do some flat bench. Haven't really done any kind of flat bench in probably 6 months? Didn't feel too bad. Could have went heavier but wasn't going to ask anyone for a spot.
    * After Flat Bench, was a bit unsure how inclines would go. Was able to work up to the 105's again. Felt pretty good.
    * I seem to be having some issues in my hands lately. A lot of stiffness and pain. Not sure if it is from the heavy DBs I've been using or something unrelated. Kind of concerning, as it hasn't gone away in almost 5 days. Will keep an eye on it.
    * Also have been having some pain in my back. I typically have some lower back pain from time to time, but this is a bit higher. Pretty sure this was from deads. Kind of regretting using a belt last time. Sometimes, I think it does more harm than good.
    * Even with the curveball at the beginning of the workout, still pleased with the results. Still moving some good weights and not regressing.

I'm glad Phosphamuscle is working out for you. Great addition to the already popular Performance Series.

I've got to agree. I've tried so many different types of stacks. This has been my favorite supplement for building to date. I had zero expectations and I've been blown away.

I'm in on this log. Ive never tried a PA product before, just soy lecithin. Dammit MT you have peaked my interest because seems like rdcopps and me do a similar workout routine.

Keep up the solid work RD.

    Day 34

    (Wednesday's Workout)

    Supplements
    PhosphaMuscle - 5 gel caps
    NOX - 1 scoop

    Shoulders

    HS Shoulder Press
    Set 1 - 110 (ps) x 8
    Set 2 - 110 (ps) x 8
    Set 3 - 110 (ps) x 8

    Upright Rows
    Set 1 - 110 x 8
    Set 2 - 110 x 8
    Set 3 - 110 x 8

    DB Upright Rows
    Set 1 - 55 x 8
    Set 2 - 55 x 8
    Set 3 - 55 x 8

    Side Laterals / Rear Laterals
    Set 1 - 30 x 8 / 30 x 8
    Set 2 - 30 x 8 / 30 x 8
    Set 3 - 30 x 8 / 30 x 8
    Set 4 - 30 x 8 / 30 x 8

    Observations
    * Back is continuing to tighten up. Not sure what is going on with it. Can't remember tweeking it feeling something go wrong. It has steadily gotten worse.
    * Shoulders felt good. Went up on the shoulder press.
    * Straight bar Upright Rows still cause a bit of pain in the elbow and shoulders. May look at eliminating this exercise. Too hard to focus on working the traps when worrying about the elbows. Might just add more sets to DB uprights. Those don't seem to bother me.
    * Shoulders were pretty smoked by lateral SS. Wasn't able to add any weight this time around.

    Observations
    * Skipped legs last time around. Went up in squats for half of my sets. Felt pretty good, but was hoping to feel about better.
    * Was able to increase weight (2 plates) on leg press. Massive pump. Close to cramping on last 2 sets.
    * Back has gotten worse. Having trouble taking a deep breath. Of course it is the weekend, so not going to be able to get in to see a doctor and/or chiropractor. More than likely, I will be skipping back tomorrow.

Thanks guys. Hung on the inversion table several times over the weekend and stayed out of the gym. Back is doing a lot better. A little bit tight on the side, but much, much better then last week. Update to follow.

    Day 38

    Supplements
PhosphaMuscle - 5 gel caps (PWO)
    No PWO

    Shoulders

    HS Press
    Set 1 - 105 (per side) x 8
    Set 2 - 105 (per side) x 8
    Set 3 - 105 (per side) x 8

SS Side Laterals / Rear Laterals
    Set 1 - 30 x 12 / 30 x 12
    Set 2 - 30 x 12 / 30 x 12

    DB Upright Rows
    Set 1 - 55 x 8
    Set 2 - 55 x 8
    Set 3 - 55 x 8

    Observations
    * Went with shoulders today instead of chest. I try not to do chest on International Chest Day
    * Shoulder Press felt pretty good. Don't think I went up in weight, but felt like I had good quality sets.
    * Energy level was pretty good for first thing in the morning with no PWO.
    * Switched up the order of exercises and went with supersets after shoulder press. Wanted to see if it made a difference in weight being used. It didn't.
    * Used a narrow grip on barbell rows. Didn't have nearly the discomfort as when I used a shoulder-width grip.
    * Finished with DB uprights. Similar in movement to the narrow-grip bb uprights, but oh-well.
    * as stated in previous post, back is doing much better after hanging on the inversion table a couple times this weekend and staying out of the gym. Was afraid it might have been a pinched nerve or kidney stone. Looks like it might just be old age!
