So. You're out at the gym, a club, a Starbucks, just out anywhere. You see a girl. She's cute. You wanna talk to her. So you need an opener. This is vital to every encounter with any other human being. You need something to get the ball rolling.
What most guys do...
"Do I know you from somewhere?"
"Hey, how are you doing?"
"Can I buy you a drink?"
A cute girl gets approached multiple times a day and she knows that most guys just want to **** her. She's developed a shield that only allows interesting guys in. Therefore, when those guys talk to her she's just counting down the seconds until they leave.
That brings us to my favorite opener.
"You remind me of (insert city)."
That's it. It leaves her shield beaten, bloodied, and squirming on the floor. She's wondering what that means. She's wondering if I've ever been to (insert city). She's wondering what I'm doing here now. She's now interested in me and who I am.
"What does that mean?" she asks.
At this point you tease her a bit.
"You've never been to (insert city)?!?"
Then you change the subject for a bit. But she's still thinking about it. So she's prying a bit to get information. She's investing in you. She's curious. Instead of counting down the seconds until you leave, she's hoping you don't.
Then you tell her after she asks for like the third time. It doesn't matter what you say. Just cold read. Make some **** up. She'll use her confirmation bias to make it apply to her. Pretend we said she reminds us of San Francisco.
"You remind me of San Francisco because you strike me as creative. The kind of person who has so much to say. You also seem to have many different sides of you that come out at different times."
That applies to every single person on the planet. But she's all....
"OMG this is just like Buzzfeed!"
Boom, you're in. You take it wherever you want from here. Be friends. Try to smash. Do whatever. You have some rapport now. You've separated yourself from all those other guys she blew off in 5 seconds.
