Looking for the best foods to eat before a work out? I normally do some fruit or a granola bar on the way...anyone suggest anything different?

Coffee is my go to sometimes ha, sometimes amino energy too, lighter on the caffeine than one PWOs
Kinda figured it was, i normally stick to oranges or a couple strawberries. There is a guy that goes to my gym that brings a huge carton of strawberries with him and eats as he lifts...never saw that before lol

Fruit, granola bars.....obv?
Milk, juice, oats, toast, grits, potatoes, jam, rice, cornbread, biscuits (gravy optional), quinoa, pop tarts, hershey bar, baconator.The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

I love using intra-workout carbs with bcaas. I use 80-100g carbs from a powder such as Karbolyn or Karbotic and drink it throughout the workout. gives awesome pumps/energy, and is an easy way to get in more carbs if you get tired of eating so much whole food throughout the day. I hate training on a full stomach so its much more comfortable IMO to eat a solid preworkout meal with say 40g protein and 50g carbs and then use carb powder intra. good luck bro

I personally like to enjoy a big bowl of oats or grits with some egg whites about an hour before I hit the gym.
If I have to go with a bar for preworkout I go with cliff bars.
If a single food, Yams.
Quick-er digesting carbs such as simple sugars would be the fastest option if in a rush. Ie. Pound a Gatorade.
